Despite what some idiots say, it's been a nuisance for a long time. When I forst started going to the Goldstone, more than 50 years ago, I was amazed at how many other teams in the league played in all yellow!
My dislike hardened in the 80s, when we were in the 1st. Division - away to Bolton (white shirts, black shorts, but they changed to all white on the day). Brighton (all blue in those days, changed to all yellow). Then they televised it - on black and white TV!
Now, so often, it makes no sense to change kits. Though I fully expect there are some muppets around who enthusiastically bought the 2013 third choice (or whenever) kit.

Get over it you wuss! My Nan watched snooker on her b&w telly right up until the 1980s and never moaned once. (Not actually sure though she had any idea what was going on.)

Anyone else recall when we had to wear the red chewits wrapper away strip at home due to Reading :wanker: turning up in their home kit and refusing to change as instructed by John Madejski ?

What!? I never said ALWAYS. I just don't have a problem with wearing away kits away from home.

These are club colours. It’s part of the romance of the game. Blackpool - tangerine. Wolves - old gold. Stoke - red and white stripes. When we turn up we wear our colours. People expect blue and white. If there’s a clash - wear your second or third kit fair enough. Otherwise we are blue and white. Marketing may call them away kits, but they’re second or third kits. Only to be used if there’s a clash.

Right. Where’s my half of mild.

both FC Petrolul Ploiești and FC Prahova Ploiești play in yellow and blue

20 odd years ago when I was there one of them had yellow and blue stripes, it was a great kit.

I'm looking forward to playing them in the Euro-bin juice cup in a few years.

My "problem" is with wearing a hybrid 2nd kit shirt - 1st kit shorts combined monstrosity away from home when either a full 2nd kit or a full 3rd kit would have been possible.

Now there’s a **** from the past ..... you could spend a whole week with him and still not find a trace of a redeeming feature.

Apart from the clashing blue shorts you mean? :ffsparr:
No :ffsparr: at all.

Everton were OK to wear blue shorts which clashed at palace. Why a different rule for the albion ?

In any case we have a perfectly good 3rd kit so we didn't have to use a shocking 1st/2nd kit hybrid anyway.

Glad everyone can see how much better than them we are. We have mullered them 3 games running and ironically only did the double the season before when we weren’t so dominant. There’s been a real lack of mention about the game from the annoying 2 Palace knobs who rush over here when they fluke a boring win... funny that.

‘Small teams like Crystal Palace’

Absolute text book tonight on the BBC, almost equalled by:

‘Everyone wants to beat Crystal Palace’.

Well done to the man.
