Sounds like a solid player. Even if we did have the money, players that everyone's heard of aren't going to come to us, these are the type of signings we need to be making.

The fact that he's been allowed anywhere near the Wales team tells me that he's better than any of the midfielders we released last season.

You are ignoring his loan spell at Peterborough, who came second in our league last year. Sounds like a good signing, especially on a free, and personally if Russell Slade wants him then that is enough for me.

This is the best signing so far IMO. I've seen him play a few times and is an excellent player.

Always though he would bypass teams like us when leaving Gillingham and end up in the upper reaches of the Championship.

I don't know anything about him, but I suspect he is the sort of player who is more likely to get us promoted than "name" players like Warren Feeney who every football fan has heard of, but has achieved little of note and would command hefty fee/wages.

Crofts comes here without any preconceptions - that's got to be a good thing...
