He can't be that good if he was in league 2 last season and then on loan to wrexham aswel:annoyed:if he was any good the gills would have done there utmost to keep him.

Only time will tell but we have a bloody long way to go in building a decent squad.:glare:

What an idiotic post, he went down with the Gills yes, but refused to sign a new improved deal so they packed him off on loan as punishment, he was leaving Gillingham anyway the club announcing he was released was them trying to get the last laugh. He also was at Peterborough last season and dont forget Wrexhams manager is a famous ex welsh international.

Sounds like a good signing to me

Maybe the Welsh international connection might help to bring the best out of Craig Davies too

Sounds like a solid player. Even if we did have the money, players that everyone's heard of aren't going to come to us, these are the type of signings we need to be making.

The fact that he's been allowed anywhere near the Wales team tells me that he's better than any of the midfielders we released last season.

You are ignoring his loan spell at Peterborough, who came second in our league last year. Sounds like a good signing, especially on a free, and personally if Russell Slade wants him then that is enough for me.

Ok, I can understand how a good player became available on a free .... but how did Gills pick him up in the first place?

I don't know anything about him, but I suspect he is the sort of player who is more likely to get us promoted than "name" players like Warren Feeney who every football fan has heard of, but has achieved little of note and would command hefty fee/wages.

Crofts comes here without any preconceptions - that's got to be a good thing...

Sounds like another good player signed that will improve the squad.

Came through the youth set-up. He is an English born Welsh international, much like Craig Davies.

Oh cool, thanks.

That must be a pisser for Gills fans then. Bring him through the youth ranks, he makes it all the way to become an International, and he falls out with the gaffer and goes on a free.

Marvellous.

Will wait to see how good he is before going mental over his signing.

A lot of the comments seem similar to those made when we signed Thomson.

Fingers crossed he settles in and does a job mind. Just don't see him being the game dictating centre midfielder we are lacking.

Still, in Slade we trust.

Slightly off topic, how the RUDDY hell can anyone on here say with such authority that Croft is a class player? Surely most of those posting will have seen him play all of ONCE or TWICE.

It is SOOOOO NSC to build him up. Give it a month into the season and everyone will be calling him shit for not being as good as Frank Lampard.
