After Friday I have to agree.

In the Oval at 10am, crack open first can of Olde English and read a bit of the paper. Watch Giles, Hoggard and Harmison take apart the West Indies bowling attack in the glorious sunshine. West Indies come in, watch GBH take them apart with some excellent fast bowling in the glorious sunshine, all out for 150 0dd. Back in they come and Gayle goes bananas, hits 24 off one Hoggard over in the glorious sunshine.

Brilliant.

8 hours entertainment, loads of booze and good food in the GLORIOUS sunshine.

On the flip side, I was supposed to be going to the Oval on Sunday. Spen tmuch of Friday and Saturday willing the West Indies to fight back and make a game of it but to no avail !

Cricket is still the best game on this planet - just 80% of the world doesn't realise that yet !

Easily the best day of cricket I have ever seen. Steve Harmison really is an exciting bowler when on top form like he was on Friday, certainly deserving of the ranking he now holds.

The only one who got your head undone.
And for a while
I believed the line that you spun.
But I've been lookin' at you.
Lookin' closely at the things you do.
I didn't see you the way you wanted me to.
How
how
howzat?
You messed about

I caught you out

Howzat ?
Now that I've found where you're at

It's good-bye. Well
howzat?
It's good-bye.
You only came for a smile.
Even though you're really not my style.
I didn't think taht you'd run me round like you do.
How
how
howzat?
You messed about

I caught you out

Howzat?
Now that I've found where you're at

It's good-bye. Well
howzat?
It's good-bye.
Oh yeah
oh
oh yeah.

I was there Saturday - shame that Surrey have done away with the walkway from in front of the stands (we were in Peter May North), much less abuse and food throwing this year :D

Another warm day watching England complete the whitewash and getting completely rat-arsed because I didn't realise pints of Pimms were soooooooo alcoholic :dunce:

Great century from Gayle

Cricket is unwatchable unless it is a sunny day with free food and drink.

I was sat in the bottom tier of the Fender stand. When it's finished it's gonna look quality. Great view from there even only 5 rows back especially of Harmisons 6 that went 15 rows back to our right.

Can't wait for next year, gonna get seats there again i reckon.

40 notes though, ouch!

Cricket is good to play.

Cricket is a boring as shit to watch - I spent many a day bunking off from Cardinal Newman to watch Sussex.

Wish i'd stuck with the maths.

Spent a great day at the county ground on Saturday watching Mushy magic with a couple of good mates - took our own beer and food in, 8 hours in the sunshine for £11.

Cricket is the finest sport yet devised by an Englishman - and let's face it, that encompasses all the important ones!

Cricket is actually very rarely boring. But nothing is more tedious than a boring football match.

Cricket for me. As Man of Harveys said, it's rarely boring, there's always something going on.

And on a sunny day, with your first pint in your hand, you sink back into the deckchair to watch Mushy work his magic... where else would rather be?

I love football, but I really, really love cricket.

got more and more into cricket over the past 5 years or so, great game and nothing beats a sunny day at Hove (or elsewhere for that matter) with a few pints and friends.

but snowboarding beats them both to a pulp :p
