Cricket Is Much BETTER Than Football...

Lets contrast and compare...................

Football
Played in winter so ......Cold, wet, bloody uncompforatble plastic tip up seat , only lasts 90 minutes, have to watch a bloody usless bunch of losers, stewards,Burger, fizzy pop, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bogs

Cricket
Played in summer so ..............Warm, (first pint) sunny (second pint), dry (third pint), deckchair, (fourth pint), picnic (fifth pint), entertaining even if one side is losing (sith pint)

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
What a SPLENDID discussion topic, but I am sure you know MY answer Trig......

CRICKET.

With the growing overlap between the start of the footie season and the end of the cricket season I have to say increasingly I dont get massively into football till October when it can NEVER clash with most Cricket fixtures, however this year I havent even purchased a season ticket for BHA so I can afford to go to all the ICC Champions trophy games I NEED to and maybe do 2 test matches in SA over Christmas, I will also be cutting my away game attendance from about 95% to maybe 4 or 5 games to finance this too.

I would say over the past 10 years my interest for football has gone down every season, not dramatically, but now it doesnt bother me in the slightest if I miss a game but enthusiasm for Cricket (and ORANJEBOOM) has increased dramatically, I would be DEVESTATED if I missed any weekend SUSSEX action.

So, Chappers, if you were in the Fender Stand, who was the, shall we say, large Albion fan in the Peter May South, wearing the old strip? I was in the Bedser Lower. I am a member of the other lot, so I can get international tickets and cricket 20 minutes from my office. You cannot beat a day at Hove, though, mind you the mixed grill at the Cricketers does not do much for your waist:drink:

Cricket is unbelievably tedious and boring. Years ago I had the patience to watch it but not now. It seems to me that for most it's an excuse to laze around drinking rather than actually watching much of the action - did I say action? I mean paint drying!
