....if so, how?

Can't say i've noticed to be honest....

Do you have:

1. A mortgage
2. An ISA
3. A pension
4. A car
5. A house
6. A job
7. A need for HP or a loan
8. A need to eat
8. Parents with any of the above

Then you have been affected

Not as such and last May the wife changed jobs which brings in around £400 more a month as better hours and job. However food costs more and the car is now driven daily to work so our running costs are higher. However our life style has not changed at all and we are still eating out when we feel like it and having our usual quota of holidays a year.

Also downsized the car last April which has helped considerably on fuel costs as we did have a Vectra.

Workwise we have had two people made redundant this week and I suspect others and no doubt next years pay rise and bonus will be lower however still being paid.

However the current climate has taught both of us to think twice about what we buy for us and the kids and whether it really is necessary.

A recession will bring up to 1 million more unemployed. Be careful.

Job isn't affected and unlikely to be - people continue getting sick and my job legally can't be moved out of the country at that.
Only loan I have is SVR and went down there last week as a result. Don't need another one.
Car - fuel has been going down?
Food - this has been going down too, theres a price war going on between supermarkets
Pension - I have one, and its likely been so amazingly destroyed that I don't even want to know...

So, probably only been affected on the pension - so far.

In the last slump, suicides went up dramatically, so that cuts out the middle man.

I have work until Christmas, but my contracts are with HBoS and a company that manages AIG work.

So far it has been buisness as useall and all my contracts are being taken up. However I was working in Edinburgh when it all went pear shaped and I really felt for all the staff, horrible to go through the will I keep my job scenarios.

Won't really know until I start selling next year..

the firm i work for are closing down one of their distribution depots up here and moving some of the work to our depot which is good from our point of view, but on the other hand the value of my house/ pension and ISA have all fallen
