I see the doom and gloom merchants are out in force having a pop at a player who will be pulling on an Albion shirt soon,
just because he has the audacity not to be high profile or that well known !!
Or because they personally havent heard of him !! FFS :ffsparr: Unbelievable ...

I won't be having a pop at him, but I will be watching how this loan goes for us now that I have listened to David Burke and many a poster on here on how the new selection process works.

David Burke with his internet programme will have sat there and selected him with an unknown number of others as the best selection for Oscar to choose from.
So I will watch his progress with greater interest, to see how this new system of player loan and purchase works out for us.

That would be about right, lets get a striker who is currently injured, sounds perfect.....I'm starting to think the left hand don't know what the right hand is doing. We need a striker and we needed one three games ago. Ulloa is quality but we are playing at the second level of English football not a pub league, it's to easy for opposing managers, stop Ulloa and Brighton don't score. He never had a sniff against Millwall until they went down to ten men. We are so desperate for another attacking threat it's unreal.

Hasn't taken u long to warm to the new set up has it lol...u may well be right re the striker bit ..but I'm mystified by your ignorance over the loan signing of Conway

It has been to me yes and I wonder if this system was another annoyance to Gus?

Being told by a guy who does not appeared to have played football at a high level and a computer data base who he could buy

Yes, let's make excuses for Gus...

Not...

I'm really pleased with this signing. Exactly what we need. Cover for Orlandi, AND can play 2nd striker. Successful, experienced Championship player and international. On paper, perfect.

I don't know about warm to the set up. I feel a bit sorry for Garcia tbh, but then he knew what the gig was when he took the job. I'm sure a director of football who signs all the players works well in the champions league and for the really big clubs. Not sure it's the way forward at this level though, I think a manager should be allowed to manage, not given his tools and told to get on with the job.

We don't have a manager, we have a head coach. The coach coaches the players we have. Burke brings them in, all Oscar has to do is shape a team.

I would have thought you'd prefer the head coach set up, you did nothing but whine and bleat on about Poyet's controlling of every aspect of the club. You can't have it both ways.

Let's get one thing straight. I never disliked Poyet because he wanted to control every aspect of the club. I disliked Poyet because of his arrogance and his all round attitude towards almost everyone and his over inflated opinion of himself, based on very little.

Except playing international football, Premier League football, winning the FA Cup, Cope Del Ray and Cup Winner's Cup as a player. Keeping up our dreadful side in his first season, romping League One in an athletics stadium and turning that team in to a side who were a couple of results from the Premier League.

This type of set up must be unique to most of the teams in the top 2 divisions. reveal me another club where the manager doesn't have a say in player transfer ins and outs.

I can't think of one but it doesn't mean it's not what Oscar wants. I'm sure when he joined Not Andy Naylor posted that the setup would be identical to Tel Aviv where Jordi Cruyff did the David Burke role.

As a manager he has won 1 division 1 championship, that's it. The way he spoke about how wonderful he was anyone would think he had won, 10 Prem titles and 4 champions leagues. Joke is, no one wants him now, that's how wonderful he is.

I have some sympathy with your view..but as you said Garcia knew the deal...and whether its the way forward...well we will have to wait and see

The difference being that Jordi Cruyff had played at the highest level, so could give an opinion to Oscar on level terms.

This is RotR you're talking about - of course he can have it both ways...... at the same time if it suits.
