I actually quite rate Craig Davies. Don't know what he has done to warrant dropping down the pecking order. Then again, I don't see him in training etc.

It wont be Barney's decision on whether or not he is sent out on loan , if the club wants him to get first match experience elsewhere he will be asked and if he turns it down could find himself in the reserves. With a new manager in situ replacing RS , things could well change and Barney is given a chance to prove himself.

Hawkins and Livermore are both available on free transfers but the club can't really terminate their deals as they both have two years left and are both on quite hefty wages for a League One club.

The Hawk and Livs signed 2 year deals in 2008 so only have a year remaining

I cant help wandering whether Slade was moving to please the fans bringing on Hart once bringing on Dicker went down so well.

The davies that spurned so many great opportunities last year, before slade replaced him with hart resulting in the team winning 5 of their last 6 games?

No idea what he did.

Some players just cannot work with some managers, happens all the time. This could be the problem, with Davies. If that is the case then he will move on.Dicker however is more of an issue as he is a Slade signing.Maybe we should have offered Lloyd a 2 year contract IMO we are missing the big man .

From my understanding, he's not in RS plans at the moment and is available for a short-term loan move, however he won't be moving on at the moment unless something else happens.

Hawkins and Livermore are both in the last year of their contracts.
Davies is available for loan but he's not?

Great info.

Whenever I've seen davies play he does work his socks off but the misses caught up with him and he seemed to be trying a little too hard when composure was needed. That will come with experince & confidence.

I would also like to see a Dickonson/Davies partnership and given that Murray & forster have rarely been fit, I thought we would have seen this sooner.

That said, I think Harty came on for his experince last night as it was a culdron out there.

The Dickinson/Davies partnership might work, but I find it incredible that there are people on here suggesting that Davies should play ahead of Forster - do these people watch Brighton matches?

I don't understand where this Davies love snowball effect has come from. He might be a decent player but judging on performances so far he is not worth a place in the team. If injuries come around and he's still here and ready to play then fine give him a go, I just don't understand why suddenly Davies is an undiscovered gem on our bench. Slade was unlucky enough to see what we all saw last season that Davies could not find the net.

I thought it was an absoulte discrace when some so-called "fans" booed him at MK Dons last season, purely because he missed a few chances. He needs to be given a run in the side to see what he can do.

Probably the same ones now clamouring for him to be in the team.

I seem to remember him getting loads of grief on here "can't hit a barn door" "will never score" "why play him" etc. How times change
