I don't think anyone has ever questioned his attitude or determination, it's just the end product which has been so disappointing.

I didn't get to the game tonight, but hope to see him do well on Saturday.

I dont think he had 3/4 chances that he "Should have scored".

He got into lots of good positions and was all over the back 4 tonight and if he had scored that wonder goal then he would be a hero!

Didnt deserve to go off tonight but I guess we won so who cares?

Best player on the pitch in the first half, must of had a sleeping pill in hes HT drink like the rest of the team.

He got took off imo because he'd been booked and was trapping to the ref and linesman and might well off been sent off if he'd stayed on

Come on the bloke has been UTTER TURD since he joined. 1 good performance does not change that and his strikers goal scoring record is about 1 in 12 games now isn't it ?.

Those who criticise Davies are probably the same ones who moaned about Murray when he first joined. Sometimes it takes time. Davies was a class above most of the rest of the players on the pitch last night. OK, his first touch may sometimes let him down, but this isn't the Champions League. And even Robinho mis-controls the ball every now and again. Last night Davies was everywhere - some of the cross-field passes he made were superb. He also came close to scoring our goal of the season. The reaction of the relatively small bunch of Albion fans at the end was spot on - and I hope it gives him the lift he needs to really start motoring. We certainly need someone in that sort of form over the next 6 games.

My thoughts are that Slade, White and Booker probably sat them down after the MK game and asked them, "Do you want that sort of response form the fans after every game between now and the end of the season?" or words to that effect. Those boos must have been ringining in their ears all the way down the M1. Let's pray that the players have woken up, and might just start putting in some of the same passion and effort for the remaining games.

Comon you Super Seagulls!

He played well today, and at the end of the game when he was walking off, the fans started singing his name, and he came back and applauded everyone again.

Top performance, unlucky with a couple of chances, but at least he hit the target, ibnstead of clearing the first 15 rows.

The boy done good, and will score the goal that keeps us up!

Sounded like he showed a lot of character last night, and he didn't try and hide after getting pilloried on saturday. Fair play to the lad. let's hope he can show more of the same on saturday.

Tcb, does it really suprise you that he has shone against a team you've described as a disgrace to football? He's found his level. League 2

Perhaps, with more players playing in their natural positions, we can just get out of this? Or will we resort to Virgo up front, Left Winger on the Right, Centre Half in Midfield, etc on Saturday.

Bit of a shame that he chose a game with just 279 albion fans in attendance to prove the doubters wrong, but he certainly did. From the first minute you could tell he was up for it tonight. I admire him for that alone, as lesser men would simply hide after what happened on Saturday. But tonight he put in a brilliant performance, lots of running, lots of skill and control, got into good positions, and was a crossbar's width from scoring possibly the best goal I've ever seen. Saturday was the first and only time I've ever been embarrassed by the abuse a player has received (due to it being totally f***ing undeserved) but how I'd have liked to see the MK morons there tonight as a HEREFORD HERO!

Well he was shit on Saturday as were the rest of the team, probably unfair to single him out though. But if it galvanised him into putting in a shift last night, then job done. Lets hope he can actually get a goal to calm his nerves on Saturday and hopefully inspire a streak of form to get us out of the dire situation we find ourselves in.

Is he going to be the striker equivalent of Guy Butters and go from zero to hero over the next few games? I certainly hope so.

Excellent last night. The shot which hit the crossbar was terrific. An exciting player.
