If they wait until after the match against us to bin off Roy, then they’re even dafter than they look. Let the transfer window slam shut and then get a new manager in for some turd polishing? That would be genius.
Let's not be hasty. There is something to be said for them getting a new manager in now, with loads of new ideas and the chance to recruit his own players - and then it all taking about 4 weeks to bed in, including an absolute spanking at the Amex.

Remember, it took RDZ six games to get a win.

Funny how they often bring up Withdean crowds.

This is in the equivalent of the Championship:

This is nothing new. In 1979, Palace had a gate of 51,000 for Burnley at home. Literally five years later in the same division, they got a gate of 4,025 for the visit of Wimbledon, who presumably brought more than a busload themselves seeing as they're like 4 miles away.

More recently of course, they were averaging 15,000 and 17,000 in their most recent two Championship seasons. Suddenly they appear to have found another 7,500 fans down the back of the sofa for their Premier League seasons.

Palace fans have absolutely nothing to teach anyone when it comes to loyalty.

Midtable premier league palace fans are going to have a massive protest about ownership, which the 'news' will be all over.

While Reading fans protest about ownership and nobody will bat an eyelid.

So what is the great failure that CPFC fans are accusing of their owners?

Yes they're stagnant but they're safe in the PL which is an achievement in itself for clubs of our size. Hodgson and Parish aren't exactly inspiring but that's hardly a call for new ownership.

Is their situation just being highlighted to them by our comparative current spell of success?

I'm also aware of the sentiment amongst football fans that we were making a mistake getting rid of steady reliable Hughton. Would Palace be able to reproduce our rise under Potter/RDZ or would they just flop like Charlton post Curbishley?

Isn’t it now the turn when they bin their safe, boring manager for a younger, big name ex player? I think it’s got Frank Lampard wriiten all over it!

Come on Steve, you know it makes sense!
And the cycle repeats. Inevitably.

What about Keith Millen? When does he do his fourth caretaker manager stint? Is that between Roy and the 'exciting young big name' chap, or when that one gets sacked?

Stevie Gerrard would have been perfect but it seems he is happy in the Saudi league so we should rule him out. This time around anyway.

It would seem so. However, sadly it's widely rumoured they're after Steve Cooper who I think would be an alarmingly sensible middle ground option.

What number are we on now in 11 seasons of PL football? I make it that Hodgson's successor will be their 10th PL manager(not including caretakers) as follows, but could have easily forgotten someone:

Holloway
Pullis
Colin
Pardew
Fat Sam
de Boer
Hodgson Mk1
Viera
Hodgson Mk2

Nothing says success and progression quite like having to have 10 managers in 11 seasons.
