To be fair to those Palace fans who were getting excited about this season being a game changer after their strong finish to 23/24 leading to being In Europe next season, there’s a good chance of playing Swansea, Cardiff and Wrexham if they maintain this level of performance.

Oh for an Ipswich win today! That’ll mean for about 15 minutes we’ll be in a CL spot and they’ll be in the drop zone. Wonderful stuff.

If their form is going to deteriorate from Feb/March and they are going to finish 13th or 14th they will need to go on one hell of a run over the next 3 months. The Kool-Aid they are serving at Selhurst must be very special this year.

He’s absolutely toilet. I get sometimes transfers don’t come off, but the guy barely looks a professional level footballer. £100k a week? Take the k off.

Excuse me. £105,000 a week.

Let's make every single pound hurt

Not only were they awful, not only did they have somebody sent off for an outright stupid challenge (albeit a player they won't miss when he's suspended), not only did they then have to sit back and watch us beat City, but they also managed to accidentally blast Hit The Road Jack out of the Arthur Wait concourse speakers right through the minute's silence for the war dead.

What a club

I tell you what: I think I said earlier in the season that Kamada was shaping up to be the Japanese Mo Dahoud (highly rated in the Bundesliga previously, came with decent expectations and on relatively high wages, turned out to be almost entirely disappointing).

With that daft red card yesterday, he's absolutely nailed the role.

Been here with Palace plenty of times before. They'll sack Glasner in December, bring in a boring merry-go-round manager (odds on its Moyes) who will sort out their defence and they'll finish 12-14th.

The endless cycle of mediocrity.

If I'm honest I feel far less passion for our rivalry with Palace these days. I don't know whether it's because we're not the underdog anymore or if I've got more apathetic with age. But they're just a bit drab, and that's hard to get excited about.
