Couldn't give a toss about Leeds

How far they've fallen isn't the issue though. It's the fact that people find it so funny and claim they 'hate' Leeds for no apparent reason.

Why?

North Stand Sheep.

It seems to be the done thing on this board to hate Leeds, the main excuse is their financial dealings, but as TCB points out Leicester have done the same thing and no one bats an eyelid about that. I'm sure Derby had a load of debt written off as well.

I am well aware of that, but i am not a "Manure" fan

I just couldn't give a hoot really, yet people on here seem to get off on them losing in the same way they do when Palace lose.

I get the feeling that some people are so dillusional they think Leeds CARE what we think.

It's pathetic.

People don't like Leeds because they are arrogant cheats.

Leicester and Derby aren't pretentious like Leeds. NSCers also hate the plastic fans who follow a Premiership team from their armchair. This is the only football message board which allows diverse subjects to be discussed that are not linked to anythiing in particular.

It's not the debt write-off that's the problem (for me).

I've never yet met a Leicester fan who said "why do you support Brighton? Why don't you support a big club?"

And Leicester weren't owned by Ken Bates.

I have always disliked "dirty" Leeds and the fact that their supporters were the only ones in the gory days who actually followed me along Old Shoreham Road in a group when I was alone trying to provoke a reaction from me so that they could kick my head in. I was 17. I've never even had that from Palace fans.

Ken Bates joining them and then ripping off all their business partners was just the icing on the cake, followed by the way many of their fans have conducted themselves this last 12 months.

Well I was just amazed the Leeds fans didn't storm the pitch today in an attempt to get the match abandoned. Seems to be the done thing when things arn't going their way.

What is f***ing sad is the thousands of pages posted on this site this year about their financial situation - I mean, who gives a f***? I'm willing to bet there aren't hundreds of threads on Leeds boards about how much they hate, or even care about, Brighton!

Sorry, perhaps you should choose what we discuss.

I got into a fairly heated debate with a Leicester fan a few years back over that clubs "activities". Needless to say, I think they also richly deserved their relegation this season, and I enjoyed it almost as much as Leeds's last year.

I find Leeds a dispicable club for a multitude of reasons though, and I certainly don't need to pick those reasons up from NSC. I have rejoiced this afternoon in their abject failure, because it means that the points deduction, in the end, actually MATTERED. Without it, they'd have finished 2nd and would have already been back in the Championship. Now, as a direct result of it, they're spending ANOTHER season at the arse-end of the league. And by christ they deserve it.

Spot on. I am delighted to see Leicester get relegated for the same reason. The financial issues are important; if clubs are allowed to write off debt (and no, I am not going into the various technical details about administration or insolvency here) they gain an advantage over clubs who don't. There has been so much guff about Leeds overcoming a 15 point penalty in the media today, but precious little balancing this up by how much they would have had to weaken their squad through fire sales of players etc.

But the 'advantage' (sic) Leeds have over just about everyone else, including Leicester, are all the 40+ year old losers who still follow them because of their success in the late 60s and early 70s.

Quit your moaning, just enjoy the satisfaction that leeds lost today in the league one play off final considering they are such a big team.

I think you'll find most fans of League One teams enjoyed today's results because Leeds thought they were too big for this division.

My experiance and good reason for disliking them intensely is very simaler to yours, only a couple of differances, it was the very early 70s, I was about 18 and it was on a tube in London (evening match Chelsea v Leeds, there were hundreds of them and i was on my own, and they DID kick the living crap out of me, absolute :tosser: I might add i was not even going to ANY football game, so was not even wearing any colours.

We RELY on moaners like you, to big it up when leeds lose.

Oh wait....you only belittle BRIGHTON when we lose, and moan at our players and management - that's right.

But i don't WANT to "belittle" Brighton. And I only view to hear the views of others, some of which are more interesting than those who stick to the tedious "stop moaning" debate which has been overdone already.

I don't ENJOY watching Brighton lose, but it pisses me off. If Leeds lose, i couldn't give a monkeys either way.

And i'm not going to follow the 'trendy' way of doing things. Laugh at Leeds all you want if you think that's how NSC 'works' and that you're impressing others. I'd rather be myself and get slated by numpty's like you.
