Over the years I have come to realise that you must have Branston pickle, simply because corned beef alone tastes far too much like dog food without it

If I accessorise I go for piccalilli.

What about luncheon meat?

Disgusting just like spam.

I have stopped having sandwiches as I am on a Weight watchers Pro Points diet and a slice of bread is 3 points so a sandwich without filling is 6 but a roll is only 3 - 4.5 depending on weight so have changed to rolls.

Corned Beef 75gm is 4 points so in a sandwich that is quite high 10 points.

A thin duvet of cucumber is a necessity if I am to enjoy a pate sandwich. I find the crisp wateriness of the cucumber to be the perfect counterfoil to the dense rich meatiness of the pate.

Corned beef doesn’t require cucumber per se, but is enhanced by it.

I'm currently munching on a Tesco Pork and Red onion with tomoto ketchup on white followed by a mashed up egg and salad cream again on white.

Never fancied corned beef, always put off buy its look, had lunchon meat loads in school sandwiches but have it rarely nowadays.

Corned beef and onion is one of lifes treats. Especially if a liberal spreading of Bovril is applied to the bread.

I've not tried it with the Bovril. Mental note to do so as it sounds amazballs

I had a corned beef sandwich at the Carnegie Deli NY, once.
