I've just had corned beef in a white bread sandwich with a dollop of salad cream. Lovely ot was too.

Heinz Salad cream can fix any sandwich.

Cucumber is just wrong wrong wrong. It screws EVERY sandwich it touches.

Revolting.

I love cucumber - especially cooked. A member of the melon family I do believe.

Over the years I have come to realise that you must have Branston pickle, simply because corned beef alone tastes far too much like dog food without it

In the navy in the late evenings, they used to issue soup and sometimes warm crusty rolls with corned dog....hard to beat in the cold..

Absolutley, far too much water content. Soggy bread is not sexy, which is why I also refrain from puting tomatoes between slices

Corned beef and onion is one of lifes treats. Especially if a liberal spreading of Bovril is applied to the bread.

Just a thought, with the impending dust up with the Argies seemingly just around the corner, will, as happened in 82, supermarkets remove Corned Beef from their shelves?
