Old French midfielder.

"Brighton would like to recruit Corentin Tolisso and have made inquiries with the player and OL. But the midfielder feels good in Lyon and his emoluments (600,000 € / month including bonuses) are not within everyone's reach."

Corentin Tolisso?

I has a couple of those the other night.

Left me with a whopper of a headache the next morning.

Textor is supposedly trying to sell his stake in Palace to raise the cash required to keep Lyon from a mandatory relegation as their finances are so f***ed (not surprising if they're paying players that kind of money). They're going to have to move their big-earners on if that's not forthcoming.

Good player with plenty of top level experience and major titles under his belt. Can't see it happening unless Lyon are telling him he's got to go to balance the books, and even then I'd expect bigger fish to be circling.

600k euro a month?

I'd stay at Lyon too.

Lyon needs to sell players and while I could see us go there looking for something... Tolisso isn't it. Maybe if Milner is forced to retire and we feel like bringing in another experienced midfielder instead on a 6-18 month contract but even then it sounds very unlikely given the way his career turned out.

£135k a week isnt that much for a prem footballer, although def over our ceiling.
works out at about £125K when you convert it to GBP (original figure is euros). not excessive but still more than i’d want us paying for an injury prone 30 year-old

I wonder how many of the current squad are now on the highest paid player parity clause?

I was led to believe it was previously Dunk, Lallana and Gross, but would think that Mitoma and Pedro have got to be close to Dunky in the highest paid player category by now?
