So what you're saying is you will always be a Labour voter as long as Corbyn is in charge? Strange, as you seem to have a dislike of him ???

Same for me too. Labour have done really well on losing loads of their voters to UKIP, like myself. They still don't learn do they.
All they keep doing is insulting the voters they lost.

you edited your post :) It is a worry though that people feel Corbyn is alienating them from the Labour party, although he seems fairly similar to other Labour leaders aside from Tony Blair and maybe Neil Kinnock. It's difficult to know who can be turned too - certainly not, presumably, Establishment lads like Cameron, Johnson and Farage.

If you lot (read posts above) 'used to vote Labour years ago' why jump on Corbyn? He's been leader for 5 minutes. Are you all saying that you used to be big fans of Mr Tony? I have'nt seen much socialism (red in tooth and claw) from any of you in your posts (over the las year). You all sound like Tories to me  Was it really better for you back in the halcyon days of the three day week, and sunny Jim? Pfui, I smell a rat. A lot of rats. Working class warrious. Give me strength.

ps I really don't like Corbyn either, and almost certainly won't vote for him, but I think I have a right to say that, as a (former) member of the people's party (or the sweaty socks brigade as som call them).

Actually, as someone of the same age and possibly a similar background. What he says actually reflects myself and my beliefs. As did Gordon Brown and Neil Kinnock. Sadly the ones who never got elected at General Elections. The labour leaders that truly do get elected tend to be the ones who can speak a bit better. They are a bit better educated and so far removed from my actual upbringing. What does that say about the electorate. Gordon Brown probably the exception to that theory.

To me it says that unless you tell lies, promise things you cant deliver then the public will never vote for you. And then we wonder why we mistrust politicians. It is we the public who often encourage them to lie to us.

I am being cynical I know and there are lots of holes in my argument but the general theory behind it has a ring of truth to it. So I for one am encouraged by the direction the Labour Party have gone recently. Sadly it might not bring rewards of an Election victory but at least I feel that I have similar views to this Labour leader

ps the number of my typographical errors is directly related to how CROSS I am.

If you really were labour and were unhappy of the betrayal of the proletariate, why didn't you join your local party and become an activist rather than sloping off to suck on Nigel's beer mat?

No "sloping off" from me. I agreed with most of the policies of UKIP, hoped Labour might represent me.....no chance, in 13 years they just about wrecked this country.

Anyone who, god forbid, had any concerns with immigration were swiftly tarred with the racist brush by Labour. As per that "Bigot" who dared to bring up the subject with Gordon Brown. I guess this is what alienated a large number of traditional Labour voters.

You can say that again,

National Minimum Wage,
Record numbers of Police and Nurses,
A decade of sustained prosperity and economic stability,
The Good Friday Agreement and peace in Northern Ireland,
Paternity leave for fathers,
2,200 Sure Start Children’s Centres,
Banned fox hunting,
Free entry to national museums and galleries,
Cut long-term youth unemployment by 75%,
Reduced crime by 32%,

Absolutely WRECKED this country.

The Labour Party hasn't had a leader for the working class since 12.05.1994.

Given who's been in charge since John Smith, if you're not happy with Corbyn, you've not been happy for nearly 25 years.

Begging the question:-

Are you sure you're a Labour supporter?

My old man used to say" Nothing worse than a working class Tory" and I agree with every word.

Corbyn has now won 4 by elections, 3 with increase voter share.
