Well, spot on. What exactly did Coppell do? He loaned Steve Sidwell and Ivar Ingimarsson which was pretty damn good. But he had more time than Slade did, and didn't keep us up. We were an average side in division 2 at the time, with Leon Knight carrying the team. Coppell, in my opinion, is CLEARLY not the answer and I hope we don't make the same "never go back" mistake.

He nearly pulled off a miracle!!!

He inherited a shocking squad who had lost 12 on the bounce so he loaned in players like the above who would of probably signed in we had some cash....remember he wanted to sign Stephen Hunt on a FREE for us but they wanted a fee, not a huge fee but we could not afford it.

He has an eye for a player and gets value, also i have it on good authority that his attention to detail as a tactician is world class.

He is the best candidate out there for us...

Eh? I am pretty sure he left us in first place (old third division) a quarter of the way through the season, not bad for an average side.

He almost pulled off an incredible escape after the team collected four points from the first 15 matches. If you had said we would go into the last game with a chance of survival, after those first 15 matches, I would have asked to share your beverage.

Never go back is a myth. Sure it doesn't always work out, but more often than not, a spent force is returning. Is Coppell a spend force? No. He is a very gifted manager who has not deteriorated over the years.

Coppell would not be my choice. I want to see someone with at least some Brighton connection (and I don't count a few months followed by relegation as being a connection). We have lost our identity a little bit too much and we need it back.

NEVER NEVER NEVER go back, when will people learn like. Steve Coppell (HEAD TOO POINTY) has a bad AURA and should not be manager

There is only ONE man for the job, and that is Dean Wilkins, (PERFECT SMILE!!!) a player who had TWO spells for the Albion, and was youth team manager and then FIRST team manager.

Remember that under Dean we won 36 (THIRTY SIX!!!!!) league matches, and in EVERY one of them we got 3 (THREE!!!) points. If he takes over now we could still go up as Champions (CHAMPIONS!!!) with another 108 points from the rest of this season.

Now that Dick Knight (LIAR!!!!!) is no more at the Albion, and is running a whelk (FUNNY SORT OF FISH!!!) stall in Spain with the money he stole (THEFTED!!!) from the 1983 cup final, then new chairman Tony Bloom (EYES TOO CLOSE TOGETHER PERHAPS???) should pay Southampton (SAINTS!!!) whatever they want to get Dean back.

It pains me to admit that, despite being ex-Palace, he was just about one of the best tactical managers we've had and, despite a very dour & boring image, seems able to find & motivate players.

I remamber his Brentford team beating MA's finest at Withers. he is a scholar of the game. We are not short of players, I reckon he could get them to play.
