Are you 100% certain that you don’t post on threads about racism at English football matches, slagging off the interventions by clubs/stewards/police against racist or homophobic abuse? With the “there are better ways to spend their time” argument, “it’s only football banter”.

I've certainly said have the police not got better things to do than arrest people for 'homophobic' abuse at football, I stand by that. I've aso said to a poster 'watch the match instead of looking to snitch up people for abuse. I stand by that. Don't remember slagging off the club or stewards though. If you can find anything else I've said then fair enough. I don't want racism at football but I do feel it isn't the massive problem its made out to be. I don't feel 'we can see you holding hands' is homophobia and it doesn't warrant arresting people or fans 'texting this number if you hear anything.'

Controversial, I’m sure I’ll be shot down on NSC, but I back supporters who report racists and homophobes.

It’s one thing aggressively chanting against Richarlison, the ref or Steven Davis, but imho another to abuse on skin colour.

You won't be shot down for saying that you'll be praised. I don't want to hear it (never have at the Amex or any stadium for years). I wouldn't report it myself as i'm there to watch the football and I know plenty will report it. But as previously stated to me racism in football isn't the big problem it's made out to be, it's a tiny percentage of those who attend matches. When Spurs announced they had no evidence to back up Rudiger's claim the media were gutted, on SSN they called it 'the worse possible outcome' when to me it was the best possible outcome......'we've thoroughly investigated and can find no evidence of racism'. What were Spurs supposed to do fabricate the evidence to keep the 'kick racism out of football' happy?

I can't remember seeing a worse CB in the prem than Webster.
Locadia is out best striker.
If we lose today the rot will set in and we'll capitulate like last season.
Tony Bloom will regret giving Potter and co that contract extension so soon.
Star Wars is s***e.

Don’t normally agree with your posts, but you have a point.

Racism is far more widespread in most other European nations for example. Migrants very often state the racist abuse they’ve faced in the Balkans, Italy and France, as another reason for wanting to settle in the UK.

Where we differ is that I’m glad we have a concerted clampdown on racism and homophobia in our leagues, notably at the well-policed Albion. I have doubts that clubs such as Burnley are as determined, their shame. Long bans needed for those who perpetrate these hate crimes in and around stadia.

We have - rightly - clamped down on racism but there is stuff that goes on a football ground that is far worse that receives little condemnation let alone a lifetime ban for those singing or shouting it. For example :

Sing about Billy Sharps dead child? Knock yourself out (Sheff wed fans)

Sing about Dunk being a rapist. Not a problem, it's just bantz. (Palace)

Wish cancer on Granit Xhaka's kids on Twitter?Just make sure you get outraged when he gives it back.

All of those are worse in my eyes than calling someone a (insert skin colour here, insert swear word here) but tolerated. Why not clamp down on all dispicable forms of abuse not just a select few?

Deliberate fouls (whether to 'let them know they're in a game', target an opponent's star player, or stop an attack/counter attack 'taking one for the team') is at least as bad as diving, if not worse.
