Our recruitment team are not very good.

I'm really not convinced fans of a different sexual persuasion are truly offended by the specific banter brighton fans have received. The club's reaction seems a bit OTT and far to PC. Big difference between genuinely abusing an individual for any reason which is totally unacceptable and should be pursued Vs fans singing generalised stereotype songs about holding hands, boyfriends knowing if your here and lord forbid, "we scored 3 they scored 1 Brighton............" Etc. Which is banter. I always found it funny tbh, especially fans signing back about being to ugly.... Or come here and we'll............

And I like Nigel Pearson

We don’t need a new striker in January as Murray can still 'do a job'.

Yep, wholeheartedly agree. Wouldn't mind Potter having Muzza and Maupay/Connoly up top together.

The Palace rivalry doesn't mean as much to me now as it did when we were in the Championship.

This is a cracking thread. Is there anybody out there who could summarise our views and put them to Paul Barber by email to see what he thinks?

Can guarantee you, that your comment, wether right or wrong will be emblazoned across the palace forums!

The same is true of them. They’ve just got a megaphone and a drum to try and disguise the fact.

In fact I’d go as far as saying the Prem turns every set of fans shit eventually. Liverpool are first but 9 times out of 10 the tourist fans put on their fake Scouse accents on for YNWA at the start and then sit their in silence for 90 minutes. The newly promoted teams keep their atmosphere but the dreary nature of aiming to finish 17th eventually turns every Premier League ground in to a library.

Montoya often can’t defend, lacks pace and won’t be our first choice RB/RWB come August 20 (if we stay up).

Despite spending the best part of £200m in the last 5 transfer windows, we have few outstanding and consistent players. Just; Ryan, Dunk, Alzate, Mooy and possibly Maupay. Bringing into question our recruitment strategy.

Fail to beat Villa and we are in deep :shit: . Our fixtures in from March onwards are hellish.

Racism in football is blown out of all proportion and is made out to be a far bigger problem than it is. To me if there is one or two shouting racist abuse in a crowd of 40 or 50k plus that is a tiny percentage and to me rather than showing racism is a problem it shows its very much under control.

Maybe just maybe there was none at the recent Spurs v chelsea match and Rudiger misheard it.

Don’t normally agree with your posts, but you have a point.

Racism is far more widespread in most other European nations for example. Migrants very often state the racist abuse they’ve faced in the Balkans, Italy and France, as another reason for wanting to settle in the UK.

Where we differ is that I’m glad we have a concerted clampdown on racism and homophobia in our leagues, notably at the well-policed Albion. I have doubts that clubs such as Burnley are as determined, their shame. Long bans needed for those who perpetrate these hate crimes in and around stadia.

Agree about 'racism more widespread etc etc'. You say 'we differ' as you glad we have a clampdown on racism etc, however where have I said I disagree with said clampdown? I can't recall ever saying I disagree with a clampdown on such behaviour.

I stand by my point however that I think given the tiny %age of spectators being racist at football (for example one guy at Chelsea v Man City last season and one guy at City v United this) that racism at football is pretty much under control.Given the hysterical over reaction in the media after the latest 'incident' you'd think football matches are played before a baying mob of racists, when in my experience this just isn't the case. There are always going to be one or two idiots regardless of 'campaigns' and punishments for any crime be it racism, robbery or murder.

Are you 100% certain that you don’t post on threads about racism at English football matches, slagging off the interventions by clubs/stewards/police against racist or homophobic abuse? With the “there are better ways to spend their time” argument, “it’s only football banter”.
