Personally I think crap chants like that help stop any proper singing getting going.

Please don't presume I am from the said "exclusive area" either. (a rather bitter sounding description I might add)
right, i am going to have my 2 pennies worth.
I am a ST holder and have only missed 2 games this season away (Cardiff and Millwall), so i am fully aware of what atmosphere can be achieved. Today was a bit flat, this is due to the poor run the team have been in, and there was a lot of nervous tension in the stand today, you could feel it, but as soon as the team started playing, this perked up, and got steadily louder throughout the game.
However i must say the NS were fantastic today, and some of their songs started to catch on in the WSU, but as soon as the WSU started to sing the NS had changed song.
I really enjoy going to away games as the atmosphere is pretty much electric for 90 minutes, and it is good to generally out sing the home side. I agree that we need to make more noise at home, but you will generally find the games where the atmosphere has been amazing at the Amex, is when the away support have made a lot of noise.
I put today down to it is a Sunday game, people haven't had so much Ale as they have to work in the morning, and the run of results wont have helped.

Was in West lower and didnt find it particularly atmospheric compared to other areas of the ground. There were a few lads behind who were whinging loads about how they wished they were in the north because people were singing but then they didnt join in on any of the songs!?!? (Whats that all about?) I did try and do a few songs and join in with the north but 1. Being a female - its just not the done thing to start a song! and 2. My 6 year old kept telling me off for being too crazy!!! - She didnt want her mum being the wierdest in the stand! So sorry for not contributing enough from my end! lol. On the whole had a great day coz of the win and being at the north end of the west (so quietly able to join in with them!)

What gets me pissed off is people in that stand moaning on about how, when and what songs the North stand sing. "The NSK were quite today", "I hope they dont sing that bloody north stand song" etc. Liven up you bunch of cretins.

And the West stand lower what a disgraceful emptying of the stand that was. SHOCKING. Tanno, Greer, Noone,Harper and Mackail Smith all put in a good shift today and the least they deserved was a clap off. Even more so Gus needed a bit of support from the fans. Just Awful.
More so there are two threads moaning about Paynter and Harley despite our win! Paynter got a flick on for the goal and Harley scored a bloody goal! Our fans are a bunch of utter wankers some times. Just unbeleivable...

Pointless thread from a pointless twunt. Did you compose this piece of prose in between doing your homework and texting your "model" girlfreind? Get a f-ing grip on reality and don't alienate yourself from your fellow fans with this drivel anymore. And for your information laddo, I sit with a group of other fans who do sing, who do sing back with "We're the West Stand Brighton Boys", who do support the team, and do go to away games so try not to embarass yourself any further by trying to question anyones moral fibre as a true Albion fan. Well you could of told me I was a "bell-end" while handing out those REMF leaflets for you a couple of years ago. Ah well. Not related to you personally but the thread in general why people feel the need to bring up my sex life is quite beyond me as it bears no relation to the display that the West stand gave today. At what point in this bloody thread did I question the fans loyalty in general for christ sake? Ridiculous. Yes there are people on here who have supported the Albion longer than me but I too have watched games at the Goldstone, Gillingham, Withdean and Amex and can safely say I understand the perspective of the fans. There are some quite ludicrous comments on this thread. Especially the one about me being in between "homework and wanking". Seriously guy's what on earth has that got to do with anything. Why be so petty and childish?
People who actually know me will tell you I am a decent fan who follows the club around the UK. If people want to bring my LOYALTY into question then go ahead. I have not brought your loyalty into question at all. You sit there. You pay your money. You do what the friggin hell you like. But when a stand of 12000 people sit there and put that amount of vocal support into there team then it's not on in my opinion. Thats not fact. Opinion. My opinion! Exactly this. Maybe you should have come to this realisation before having a dig at 12,000 other fans. Your opinion is your opinion and that is your prerogative but please don't come on here bemoaning others just because you wish to leave the stadium with partial deafness after every home game.

Seems like the West only know how to sing " Albiooon", " Were the West stand " " GOSBTS " or " Seagulls ". The biggest stand in the stadium and not really much singing coming from there, does it always need the North to sing to the West to get them singing? I shouldn't think so.

I'm sitting right at the top of WSU and I did think to myself pre-match that no-one was singing. I felt like an absolute idiot singing along to all the pre-match stuff all by myself.
Ultimately, I'm pretty sure it all comes down to the nerves. Hopefully it'll be better now we're off the back of this winless streak
