No tweets from mr Naylor yet !!!!

No but he has posted this
Vicente will be ideal for Albion From The Argus)

Spanish star Vicente has been hailed as a perfect fit for Albion.

The Seagulls are still trying to complete a deal to bring the former Valencia winger and Spain international to the South Coast on a free transfer.

They were locked in further negotiations with the player and his agent yesterday and Vicente remained in Brighton last night.

He would add an extra dimension to their Championship challenge according to Graham Hunter, Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert.

Hunter has followed Vicente’s career closely and believes Gus Poyet’s Albion are the right club at the right time to revive the 30-year-old Vicente’s fortunes.

Hunter told The Argus: “I think he deserves the English stage and it is ideal for him to be at a club with good, young, hungry, successful players with a very talented manager and a brilliant, visionary owner (Tony Bloom).

“That is where Vicente should be. He is far better off there than at, for example, a slightly bigger name like West Ham or Blackburn. Brighton is the place to be. It’s on the up.

“He will fit into the culture of the club. The thing that has to happen first is that he comes in, trains hard and understands what Gus wants. No way would I say Brighton have suddenly got a player who was world class and therefore everything has got to change.

“The key thing will be for Vicente to realise that he is part of a regime now which is ambitious and well run and it is for him to adapt, not the other way around.

“If he trains well and adapts then I think there is a success on the cards. How ever well Brighton have done recently, if he is fit there is a dash of quality there which they don’t have, even in their most prominent players.”

Vicente attracted interest from Celtic, Torino and oil-rich clubs in the Middle East but he is keen to play under Poyet after years of success at Valencia were later marred by injury problems and an uneasy relationship with the men in charge.

Heading for shore
I'd cry.

I mean if he doesn't come here fine, f*** him, but seeing Saints or Palace get one over on us would be too much to take.

No chance, if he doesn't sign for us it'll be for a Prem team. I still think he'll sign for us though.

Actually, we all turned up at his door last night but he declined the offer. He said he was waiting for Edna as he loves a woman in uniform!

If the transfer does go through and Bozza's request for NSC to sponsor his kit also works out then I can see a "XX" led binfest developing for the close season dinner tickets that will far exceed anything we've seen here to date.:)

Wanderer, how did you manage to get an animated gif as your avatar? I tried it and it's only a still! :(

Through trial and error. I just googled animated gifs and found loads, and tried them on NSC, most failed because the image size was too high (restriction set by Bozza to make the pages load a decent rate, I'd imagine)

He is a brilliant player, but hes coming to the end of his career and also is probably 'set for life' financially. Maybe hes looking at more than just the football side of it, but also the lifestyle aspect. Now by anybodys book when it comes to lifestyle in England, Brighton has to be in the premier league. Compare it for example with Blackburn!!

he will be coming to the end pf his career in 2 or 3 years time

Yes, but lets be honest, he won't actually live in Blackburn, you don't have to travel many miles to find some lovely areas. Don't get me wrong I'd rather live in Brighton but its not that clear cut, some of the Man U players live in fantastic areas up there.

Not confident this morning.

Why? What has changed from last night to this morning? Chill and until you hear differently have faith in Gus and Bloom getting it sorted as they (well Gus at least) seem convinced will happen

If anyone vaguely Spanish looking is spotted in Brighton today I want them followed and snapped. The people need updates!!!

I've just finished work, and on driving home followed 2 different cars with Spanish number plates. Needless to say I caught up with said cars on two seperate occasions, but unfortunately Vicente was not inside either.

I'm heading back out soon.

We need a team of spotters around town, Amex and so on.

F*ck work!
