Eastbourne, I still think they'll beat crawley into the football league.

I mentioned this on another thread but no one replied....... will Lewes be allowed to play in the premier? I thought there were problems with the Dripping Pan.

They have built stands and improved their ground but I think they still need to do some more but achievable.

Lewes, as my wife grew up there and I spend far more time there than Eastbourne as the mother in law still lives near the town centre.

I also witnessed the best come back I have seen at the NSC sponsored match three? years ago.

Hmm. I always considered Eastbourne Borough to be the side with the money. The have a bigger ground, better facilities etc..

If both went up, I'd rate Eastbourne's chances of survival higher than Lewes'.

Really?

Some of the players King has got in this season and last must be on a decent wage compaired to the players Boro have got?

I know what one Boro first team player gets and would be shocked if players like Simpemba and Barness would get the same.

Plus King seems to get a lot of older pro's in due to his conections.

Lewes, it is further west, plus I would love to see what the local council would do if a team representing their town was anywhere near getting into the football league.

Yeah, there's some money coming in, and it's being spent on the team. But Eastbourne aren't too shabby on the pitch either.

So if they're similar on-pitch, I was comparing stuff off-pitch, and there just appears to be a bigger infrastructure at Eastbourne. Could be nonsense, of course, but that's the outside appearance.

True but I think Eastbourne have recruited good local players more than Lewes who have gone further afield to get players.

I would think Lewes have got money a side to do up the ground if they went up.

both going up would be great, but if I had to choose it would be Boro for me.

I have watched highlights from a couple of Boro games and have to say that they are at least as good as some of the Conference teams I have seen this season, I think they could probably hold their own if they get promoted, they might even surprise a few people next year.

Not seen a lot of Blue square Premiership football this year but there doesnt seem to be many average sides in that league.
They are either Good or bad.

Kinky, I have now seen all but about a half dozen of the BSP sides this season, most are capable of beating anyone on their day, as has been happening in the last few weeks. Probably the best footballing sides are Exeter and Stevenage, both like to keep the ball on the ground and play attractive attacking football. After a dodgy start York have been doing fairly well, if they can keep their squad together I expect them to make at least the play-offs next season. The least enjoyable were Salisbury, a team of giants who played the long ball game and tried to keep the ball in the air for as much time as possible...think of the old Wimbledon and remove the skill element and you are just about there.
