Completely false position

We have to find an experienced centre half to replace Elphick or Virgo alongside Tunnicliffe, get our full backs fit (though Bennett did superbly yesterday) and maybe look at the goalkeeper too.

This is exactly my thinking. I feel Tunnicliffe is the best centre-half we have, but he needs some experience alongside him. Kuipers needs a rest IMHO.

I wonder how many of the "we are playing good stuff, and in a false position people" are the same ones(those who are old enough) who wanted Mike Bailey out, for playing negitive stuff in early 80's, despite factualy being the best team we ever had, in tearms of the footballing league ladder?
I don't think we are in a false position at all - we've lost half our matches and our home form is woeful.

But yes, I will admit to being unhappy with the Mike Bailey team's style in the 80's, and being delighted when was replaced by Jimmy Melia and that thrilling run to the Cup Final......got that one wrong, I think!

I've just had a moment of clarity. (Probably 6 months after everybody else)

With the exception of CKR, in recent history, basically after Bobby.
No player has gone on to better things in higher leagues.

So therefore relegation fodder is all we can expect, as we are a 3rd division team with 3rd division players and the sum of the parts don't add up to anything that 'special'.

How does that work? Because Hammond hasn't gone on to better things it proves the current team is relegation fodder? Because Owusu is playing in a two bob league in australia, we're not good enough to stay up?

Why is it a sign that our current team is bad because players we got rid of have not achieved anything?

Lynch has gone on to be a regular in a Championship side, as those of us who rated him always saw he had the potential to do, despite being laughed at by others on here.
