I thought the idea of comic relief was to have some comedy but as yet I havent seen one act that has been funny.

Take that were ok dont tell TCB if he ever comes on here again,
The best act was Susan Boyle and Peter Kay as for the rest I think that it has been very poor. Expecting 'Smithy' to be good.

Yeah, it's a bit shit, the Miranda stuff was quite funny- as was fake that. Still, who gives a f***? It's the only time I ever give my hard earned dollar to charity. I just bought some mosquito nets.

Inbetweeners up later, should be good. Agree it hasn't exactly been funny so far, or particularly happy. I swear they try and depress you more and more every year.

It'll be a relief when it's over for another year.

I have had the good fortune to have missed most of this tonight. it IS a good cause but i'm so old I remember when it used to be funny. Miranda is utterly unfunny, as for the chefs, I noticed all the big hitters were out of town, where were Heston, Jamie, Nigella and Delia ?

Very poor show and frankly not funny, like er who were Fake That and more importantly, what was the point ?

Very average.

Having said that, Smithy sketch probably just saved the show. Not usually a fan of Corden but with all those cameos that was very good!!

Thought it has been very funny so far, Outnumbered was good so was Smithy and Fake That and for once I actually found Miranda funny.

Red Nose Master Chef was good as well.

What I would say it is very corporately sponsored which makes me wonder how that sits with the BBC and advertising.

Smiffy easily the funniest bit. Although liked Downton Downstairs Upstairs. Inbetweeners was a disapointment though. Masterchef was good too.

But you miserable bastard the point is to raise some money for lots of worthy causes so bloody donate if you haven't done so already.

I thought Smiffy was the best bit of what is a very poor show but it raises money so achieves its aim. I wonder what the break down of money given away is. How much goes to Africa and how much to needy causes in this country which are suffering drastically by cut backs. The showing of children in Africa is obviously designed to get at peoples conscience and some of the scenes are very heartbreaking. So well done to all who have donated.

unmitigated crap but all in a good cause I guess.

Hard to believe that so many very funny people can totally fail to amuse.

So, who are your comedy heroes of the moment and which sit coms, if any do you find funny. Just so the rest of us can gauge if you do have a sense of humour. I didn't watch the whole show but Smithy was good with a host of celebs sending themselves up and Jimmy Carr brief standup was good. I don't find Miranda funny and neither do I think Lenny Henry is any more (hasn't been for at nearly two decades in my book).

Thankfuly the Doctor Who mini-2parter was on in the first hour so i was able to turn it off after that.
Was quite suprised how quickly they showed the second part, was half expecting to wait an hour for the other part.

The Smithy sketch was brilliant.
