Mad- The guy turned this club around with a so called big budget...He found Zamora....100k unbelievable! people forget cullip and chippy,all brought to the club by adams. He gave the fans that were battered and bruised from gillingham fresh hope and desire..he installed that into the players and like seagulls we just flew.

Better managers at this level were @ that are available at the moment...Wilkins anyone?

Cullip and Chippy etc were is old 3rd division promotion boys, they'd done it all before and were always going to do it again. Those guys are all past it, who's he going to call on now? His relegation threatened Coventry mates? He got lucky with Zamora, that can happen to any manager.

And I always thought he wasn't the greatest tactically, either.

Cant actually believe anyone can shout down or belittle anything the guy did... He took control signed one of the best players to wear the stripes,took the battered team we had and turned it into a fantastic championship winning team....greatest away days since ive been going and is a f***ing hero!

I don't think anyone is belittling or shouting down Micky Adams. He was a great manager for us, certainly one of the two most successful. the success other managers had after him was due in no small part to the work MA did.

He had a lot more success with us than he's had anywhere else (so far) just like Alan Mullery.

But that doesn't mean he was perfect.

And it also doesn't mean that he's the man that we need now.

He was the right man at the right time. He brought in experienced pros who had done before what he wanted them to do again, and added a couple of youngsters to them.

What we have now is a team of youngsters who need a couple of experienced pros. And as the team is based around the youngsters we need someone at the helm that can relate to them and that they respect.

And he's already in place.
