But that's the trouble - he was here 4 years and you manage to highlight just one standout game.
That was his best game - and his 2nd was the best BHA goal I've seen - although he always seemed to play really well against Leeds.

Have you ever watched and seen how many opportunities Messi misses! Our teams at the Amex in the last few years have created far too few opportunities for all of our strikers.

Messi does not play down the middle. You obviously never saw Ian Rush, Alan Shearer or Ian Wright play then, nothing all game then a single chance and goal.

Whilst I don't disagree about the lack of chances for our strikers, the issue is lack of finishing ability for CMS and nothing sums it up more than 9 men vs Burnley and him missing a clear chance at the end. Simply not good enough at a higher level, where there are less chances (anyway) and less space. A good league 1 player.

Stats don't lie, as stattos keep reminding us. Ditto evidence of our own eyes. Did brilliantly in the L1 equivalent of a death-or-glory pub team. Genuinely nice bloke. But well rid.

Spoke to somebody in the know at Peterbro several years ago. Her summary was that he was a nice guy, but lacked confidence and consistently needed reassurance. Clearly in the very prolific year for Peterbro he was high on confidence. That is also perhaps why for us his goals came largely at the beginning of season and in bunches. Injury and age have ravaged his confidence and ability. Right now a good league 2 club would be the right move for him.
