....in buying a really talented forward who can score goals but offer him no service.

Seriously though the guy went mad at whoever took the umteempth free kick that went straight to their keeper.

I really feel he is getting severely pissed off at present as I would imagine he was sold a vision of pass and move yet the reality is very different.

He must be doing his nut, give 100% every game, shame his team mates don't do the same.

No point at all really, if your not going to create chances for the bloke you may as well have anyone up front. I know this was Southampton but they are not f***ing Barcelona, 90 mins and no shots on target AGAIN!!!!!.

The words headless chicken entered my head a few times watching him today.

That he is not he is pure instinct in front of goal, believe me

The service is just not good enough.

I know we're missing some very creative players who could make all the difference when they come back, but insisting on sticking Noone on the right in these games is doing us no favours whatsoever, and it is SERIOUSLY winding me up.

He must be rightly pissed off - promises from Gus at the beginning of the season only to be isolated up top with sod all service. We have seen when his given service he is quality and whatever he gives his all

The midfield DESPERATELY needs sorting out.

Been saying it for a long time now,not keepers or strikers although the latter would help-Midfield really is where we are weak.

We have certainly lost our goalscoring mojo upfront and I desperately feel for CMS. He should be at the pinnacle of his career, having left his long standing club as a legend with an amazing scoring record and and instead of going to an established Championship or even Premiership side to his credit he chose a rival club in the hope that playing flair footie would take his own game to a new level, justify his fee and international selection. We certainly haven't had such a committed and whole hearted forward since Michael Robinson.

Having seen CMS on telly last season demolishing Saints for the Posh at London Road I thought he would be really up for today and their defence would have been very wary of his energy and pace. But........yet again he doesn't seem to have received the service from our midfield and whoever plays alongside him (Barnes or Paynter) isnt really on the same wavelength, not helped by the positional play that presumably the management tell them to adopt. Maybe Vicente can pull some strings for CMS and maybe Hoskins or Buckley will give him better support. I really hope CMS gets back in the goals soon, he deserves our support.

Hate to say it but the Southampton fan is right he is and has been little more than a headless chicken for us.

Don't get more wrong the lad is clearly a great player and a great finisher BUT how many games this season have you walked away and thought that bloke has been brilliant for us and made the difference between the two sides? Second half against Leeds maybe?

I'm not blaming him, he's given loads every single game he's played but he's had nothing to play along side him!

The players who were bought to complement his game have been injured constantly. Hopefully when we get Buckley, Hoskins and Vicente fit, we will look more potent up front. We showed some sign of that at Cardiff.

This is a very fair point.

It sounds glib, but we really have been utterly decimated this season with the constant injuries to the creative players Gus has brought in. They would have made such a massive difference to the last 10 games.
