Really do think things will 'click' with him next year.

People wanting to cash in and move him on are mad in my view.

He says he is still learning our style of play, surely after about 50 games and 100s of training sessions he should have a good idea, or am I being harsh?

Either way I'm sure he will get more next season providing we get him a proven prem/championship strike partner.

I must admit i had thought he would never make a player with his recent touches on the ball. However after the Watford match i thought he looked a different man he was more aggressive and had a good battle with their centre back and did hold the ball up for the old 1-2 every now and then.

So if CMS can strengthen up with lightweight EL Abd during the summer/preseason and look to do more 1-2's i am sure he can get in behind defenders and score score score.

Keep him and the faith is what i say.

Missed 3 good chances against Watford. I am pleased about that - shows that ultimately he hasn't got his shooting boots on at the moment and it's not just the way we play, which should mean that he isn't so desperate to leave.

I don't understand why people want rid, we won't recover what we paid for him and it's only been 1 season I know he has not had the return in terms of goals but this is not particularly unusual for a striker in their first year. Let's see how he starts the first few games next season before we assign him to the scrap heap.

Not the real one
I watched the press conference on player. It's clear it's been tough for him but Gus asked him to do things that Peterborough didn't, also the team play totally differently. However his attitude was 1st class, he's gonna study videos of the season to see where he went wrong and where it went right. He really really wants it to work here and I would say that unless Brighton get a very large offer, CMS isn't going anywhere.

After watching some of the lack luster / flops for forwards we have had at the Albion over the past 10-15 years CMS is a pleasure to have in our squad.

Just watch back the highlights from the Watford game to see what a shift and urgency he injects into the game. Ok he hasn't scored the goals we all would have hoped.

I'd be gutted if he left!

At 28, his attributes aren't going to change much...I really want him to succeed, but he needs a Murray type alongside him.

Yes I liked his attitude tremendously. I thought he had a good game against Watford. Yes he did not score but he got into goalscoring positions and was a threat. This was despite playing up front on his own. The lack of strength throughout the side (which should not be unexpected given our recent promotion and wish to be at the forefront again) mean that a lot is called for from our one man strike force. He has done a decent job this year and we should be grateful for his efforts and attitude.
