Not sure if this has been posted already, but CMS released by Luton (how the mighty have fallen) and Adam Chicksen released by Charlton.

With some of our fans penchant for old players, perhaps CMS could partner Muzza?

Hope CMS gets a new club. Always tried his hardest.............we've had a hell of a lot worse players

Not for £3million we haven't.

Didn't work out but there's no doubt that at the time we signed him he was a hot property that pretty much anyone would have wanted so that fee didn't look so stupid. He was on fire the previous season. I think what WAS stupid was signing a player that didn't fit into the style of play at all, and then making no attempt to tailor it to his strengths.

This. Did seem like The Second Coming at the time, on account of the fee and his apparent goalscoring PROWESS..

We all - including, crucially, those responsible for the signing - seem to have overlooked the fact that the bloke scored a shitload of goals for a kick'n'rush Peterborough side that wouldn't have looked out of place in a junior school playground. Didn't their stats the close-season we signed CMS read something like: Goals For: 99. Goals Against: 98? Can't be arsed to look up the stats but it was something really rubbish like that.

I was one of those who was excited when CMS signed for us. However, before his injury, in his two full seasons in the Championship (one for us, one for Peterborough,) he scored 21 goals at a rate of 1/3.5 games. Hardly prolific.

He's any example of a player who is fine at a lower level, but not good enough for the Championship. Will suit a club at a much lower level with a 'gung ho' approach (rather like Peterborough in their promotion season).

Without that injury, CMS would have been amazing, propelling us to the PL and probably keeping us there for years. Vardy-esque.

Far better than overrated Ulloa and Murray. To prove this, Murray didn't score a hatful in his first season for CP. It's annoying that people keep dragging up Murray's goals stats for CP and BHA in his other Championship seasons.

I'd love to know how many CHAMPIONSHIP goals, per league starts, CMS scored in his P'boro Chamionship season combined with those in his 2 seasons with us prior to his March 2013 injury. Shirley they will be far superior than those for Murray and Ulloa.
