Reckon once the ratings update we’ll have our highest ever ELO score after today

and there you have it into the European Top 10

Anything other than a home win in our next two games and we will plummet massively. What are we ACTUALLY doing sitting amongst the big boys waiting to be cut down to size!

Last nights sobering result, takes us down from tenth to seventeenth! Another banana skin awaits on Sunbday with the visit of the South Today Cherries. Then we have an ackward trip to Villa Park, in time for Ollie Watkins to recover his scoring touch.

Still there are 10 English teams in the top 25 in the rankings and then there are the also rans.

Happy New Year all. 2024 sees us still supporting a Top 20 ranked European team, despite a bumpy injury hit end to 2023.

We have just sneaked back into the top 16 after Napoli, RB Leipzig and Real Sociedad all dropped points. Will be difficult to hold this with upcoming fixtures.

On the back of the Fulham and Roma defeats we have plummeted down to 30th in the rankings. The Forest victory has taken us back up to 29th http://clubelo.com/Brighton

Coming up to a year ago when we hit the ridiculously heady heights of a Top 10 European ranking and it was a steady decline from there onwards, with a few brief promises of an upturn as documented above.

We opened the season and the Hürzeler era ranked 47th and have climbed back into 40th. The next couple of games have a small upside and a large downside and with Palace ranked at 42 we don't need any slip ups.
