Just to be a bit of a pedant, you know what the charge against gus was but have you seen the proof? Yes I know you believe your source but apart from them telling you how do you know what they said actually happened?

No proof required since I trust my source.

word of mouth isn't exactly hard facts though is it and not really held in high regard in a court of law. I'm not saying he/she is lying however you
a. might not have got the whole truth
b. content garbled slightly chinese whispers style even if its originally from the horses mouth
c. two people can hear the same words and deduce different meanings

It may be true, i'm just saying proof is in the eye of the beholder and i don't necessarily take what someone says as the whole truth. but anyway its fairly irrelevant now so c'est la vie

Indeed. Irrelevant now that Gus has (correctly) thrown in the towel. More proof in my eyes that he did what I heard he did.

I wouldn't necessarily call that proof as it could be that he decided that either it wasn't worth pursuing so he could get another job or that he just wanted to just leave it. I don't think he's innocent, far from it but the level of guilt is what is open to interpretation. Anyway we could debate this endlessly but that would be just going over old ground :)

Yes. Sorry, proof was the wrong word for me to use there. Circumstantial evidence would be better! ;-)
