There are a lot people on here getting very precious and judgemental on people who are not attending matches.

As seen on both threads, there are people with many reasons why they cannot attend either at short notice or due to life issues. Many of these will have been supporters / season ticket holders for many years but that doesn’t seem to matter to many on here which is ironic given how many times people complain now that the club has lost its soul and yet these views of fellow fans is just as bad.
There aren’t many people for whom circumstances are such they couldn’t spend 30 seconds relisting their seat. It can be done right up to ko.

The thing that irritates me is I pay for my sth and my sons (under 16) sth but to list my sons I have to login as him and list it there, I can’t list it from my account.

Cheers! I’m officially cancer-free now so it’s just the 3 monthly checks from now on thank goodness. I fear my days as a swordsman may be over though, bloody old age.
Glad to hear you’re all clear. Keep your guard up!

Some of you may be aware that a long term Albion fan has decided not to renew his ST due to the fact that (allegedly) the club has cancelled his son’s ticket due to non-attendance. I had an operation to remove my prostate in October and had to miss some home games so I thought I would check in the ST T&C’s to find out what the club policy is regarding non-attendance. However, I can’t find anything in the ST T&C’s that stipulates how many games a ST holder must attend. There seems to be no limit for the 24/25 season on how many times you can offer your ticket for resale which tends to suggest that there is no minimum attendance rules but maybe this appears somewhere else in the club’s various T&C’s. Can anyone on NSC illuminate me?

I think this is indeed the question on the other thread...I can see it in emails, but can't see it in T's and C's unless I've missed it...feel like a dog with a bone now...can't put this down... :ROFLMAO:

Its clause 17.5 via https://tickets.brightonandhovealbion.com/usercontent/documents/pdf/2425/tandcs/MFT ST Terms and conditions 20242025.pdf

17.5. The Club reserves the right to refuse a Season Ticket renewal (or to cancel an auto-renewal), in the event the Season Ticket is used by the Season Ticket Holder for less than 25% of the Matches. The provisions of Clause 13.4 apply at all times.

17.6. For the avoidance of doubt, where a Season Ticket Holder has not attended any Matches in the preceding season, they shall not be entitled to auto-renewal of the Season Ticket and will only be able to renew the Season Ticket by actively confirming to the Club either online or over the telephone, that they wish to renewal for the forth coming Season. The provisions of Clause 13.4 apply at all times.

I’ll give you a real example from Friday night. A friend lives in London, his Dad is in Worthing hospital and his Mum is unwell so splitting time looking after them both as well as other life issues. Going online to list his ticket when he realised he would no longer be able to get down in time for kick off was not one of his priorities.

This is renewal, you won't get a ST next year/auto renew if you haven't attended a minimum number this year. Where does it say in year your ST will be cancelled, or listed on the ticket exchange for you?

If your season ticket has been suspended then there is another clause saying club have right to sell it.

16.11. C >> the Club reserves the right to sell the Seat associated with the relevant Season Ticket to a third party immediately following the cancellation or withdrawal of the Season Ticket; and

(there are a whole bunch of reasons for suspension of season ticket - afaik - not attending isn't one of them. its not listed anyway)

Yes. The example shared by @DarrenFreemansPerm seems an outlier. If club are now putting un- suspended Season tickets on sale to third parties - merely on basis of non attendance of several games (number not specified) ,and/or failure to list on exchange or share ticket and combined with not responding to email communication reminding them to do so - then that seems like a new sanction. Looks like a one off or even an error but perhaps there are others - not on NSC who are in the same boat. But the club haven't explained this to the individual afaik and its certainly not covered off in the terms so interesting to see any follow ups on this.

There's another case here:

Edit: not sure that link is working, so here's a copy and paste of the appropriate text:

"I have 2 season tickets.. I got in fine because I go to every game.. but my son who has to work most weekends doesn't get to go to every game because he would like to keep his job... last night he was refused entry because the club had sold his ticket to someone else.. but they still accepted the money I paid them for the ticket as well.. so basically they have been paid twice for the same seat... something very wrong here"

These are long standing that are applied at the end of the season however no published T&C’s in place to act mid season (unless the ST is suspended)

Edit - see you are aware👍🏻

Yep, there will be the odd example. But not many.

?? For the WSL. You’ll be looking in vain for any PL ticket packages. No need. Every game sells out and ST sold out earlier than ever before this year. And renewals were > 95%.

Now getting more ticket holders to show up - or share or sell unwanted tickets is more of a challenge.
Yep. Every home league game is sold out. Palace capacity lowered for safety reasons. Cup games we don't engage though.

This morning had email from club trying to flog me My Albion membership...I am a STH

Recently had mail from club questioning why I had not listed my ticket on the exchange.. I was very much in my seat for game in question...

Appears the club's admin systems is not 100%..

That was on the email a month ago which included the telling off about not sharing away tickets etc.
Yup l had a dressing doiwn by email after l failed to attend the Tottenham game in October. Only the 2nd home game l had missed though!

The missive basically said that if l wanted to be sure of keeping my season ticket for future seasons, l could do that by offering my seat for resale for any games that l was likely to miss.

We also received this same passive aggressive email and it didn't anger me because now I expect this kind of thing from the Albion who are no longer about the fans and are all about making every single penny they can at any cost possible.

This most certainly is not the club I fell in love with, were a total shadow of what we were in every sense of the word, especially in regards to how we treat it's loyal fan base and with every little move they make like this from charging people a fiver to get in the ground if their phone dies to not being able to share your season ticket for free my feelings of distain grow.

In general I enjoy watching the Albion and my love of football is the same but my deep routed pride and love for us is gone forever i'm afraid and that's sad as they've managed to build a wedge between the fan base, the very heart and soul of the football club.
