To be fair to Coldplay they have done a decent job, not everyone's taste but they have performed well enough. It wouldn't have mattered who was chosen to headline some would still have slated them, personally my comments were firmly tongue in cheek and at least we didn't have a succession of vacuous 'talent' show bands squealing away.

This dude is singing one of the most soul destroying songs I have ever heard, BUT..........BUT.........BUT.........This is about the athletes, and the tv cameras just cut to them and they are having a ball by the look of things and loving this.
