......and the vast majority of the slaughtering is being done by health care professionals.........that’s all I need to know. My daughter’s view won’t make it through the NSC sweary filter so I won’t repeat what she said. I’m out [emoji23][emoji23]

This has just about summed it up:

It's not for the carers. It is for people who flout the rules to feel good about theirselves. The best thing people can do for the front-line workers is follow the rules. Everything else is superficial.

A lot of people are working their backsides off and always have done. Not just health workers.

Sorry I not looking to argue or say they are working harder than them etc,

I just found the whole thing patronising, as did all of my neighbours given none of us clapped.

If we want to thank all public sector workers, lets improve their pay and conditions rather than clap.

You are free to do as you like, but people I know who work in the NHS don't find it patronising at all. They appreciate it...
