I've just noticed: why has this thread got a cricket tag? Is it a reference to England's probable performance in the Boxing Day test?

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I always thought a post-conjugal cigarette was compulsory after roasting your bird.

Desserts shouldn't have fruit in.

Not an Xmas pudding fan but I go along with for tradition sake.

Never quite understood why the biggest, heaviest, most calorific main course of the year, and that after a starter, is followed by the pudding equivalent of an atomic bomb, and just as Enola Gay turns for home, some joker then pops up with a cheeseboard FFS! It’s the original man versus food challenge really.

If ever there were a time and a place for Angel Delight, it’s the Xmas dinner table IMO. But I get roundly booed every year for suggesting this.

We've got our good friends Polly and Giles and also their daughter Tallulah coming this year alongside Mrs Crodo's parents so will probably put on a range of desserts including the traditional Black Forest Gateaux, Mint Vienetta and Spotted Dick.

No arctic roll consumed? My cousin's favourite when we all met up on Boxing Day.

A bit sickly though with all the raspberry in it.
