I was a bit concerned when I thought he was Kaz replacement but if he is an as well then I think i't's great. Some young blood will never do any harm and at that age you can tell what level he will be at finally.

That's wierd I just spent ages signing him for Albion on FIFA 11 then a few days later the club sign him for real.

By an 'exciting signing' do you mean 'a signing'?

I don't really see what's exciting about it, that's not a slight on him, we've had plenty of run of the mill signings who go on to be excellent players for us. Hopefully he does. Don't see what's wrong with posting his stats or opinions of other clubs have to do with it, that happens with every signing. If they were more positive that would make it more of an exciting signing (but we've also had 'exciting' signings turn out to be shit).

A player that has played in the world cup as well as being named a promoted championship sides young player of the year. He's also played premiership football which means WBA must see something in him. Id say its pretty exciting. (he may be crap)

Willing to keep faith with Gus. Plus Gus will have talked to Di Matteo about it and I suspect there is a mutual bond between them.

I know nothing about him but in Gus we trust.

The majority of posters on here slating the guy before he has even had a chance to settle know nothing about him either. Bearing in mind where we are in the league and the way we have played this season you would think that people would have a bit more faith in the Manager.

You would also think that despite that the fact that New Zealand do not have an abundance of talent at their disposal the fact that at 18 he played in the World Cup Finals would speak for itself.

Sorry I was forgetting this is NSC and because he has not yet scored a hatful of goals at 18 the guy is obviously rubbish. Some people on here need to get a reality check.

Lets be honest his stats are not good and he doesnt look to be prolific but...

He is dropping in quality so may do well
He may fit in with us and be a success
We have no other options up front

Open mind and will judge on what the lad does, I imagine he'd be coming off the bench to start with.
If he is shit then we can just send back which unfortunately we can't do with Sick Note Fran

I'm sure playing in the World Cup was a big thing for him, and it's unusual for someone we sign to have been playing aginst players like Cannavaro and Chiellini a few months ago. But it was for New Zealand, probably the only World Cup side in recent history to include part time players in their squad.

I'm not saying he's going to be rubbish (or good, I have no opinion until I've seen him play) just that I think it's a bit of a stretch to call it an 'exciting' signing even by our standards.

With regards to the stats bear in mind 12 of those 18 apps were off the bench. He has 1 goal from 6 starts in the Championship.

Here he is scoring for New Zealand a month ago:

Honestly don't know what some people want. Young premiership striker, young player of year in the championship for his promoted team, played in the world cup (don't care who it was for look at who he played against) and rated by his current manager and by Gus.
It's always the same with any signing though

Second goal is the man we should have signed.

I'd imagine the Barnley's fan's board is full of even thicker people then this board and as a fair amount of cretins on here have written off Barnes, Navarro, Poyet, Greer, El-Abd, Murray, etc I think i'll reserve judgement
