his body language and actions (clapping the fans in all directions) certainly gave me the impression that it was a good-bye from O'Grady.

He is not a long term solution but no way should he go anywhere in the next six months at least. He was strong at Fulham and Brentford. We seem to be muppets with strikers.

a really fantastic centre forward display tonight and unlucky not to score. He occupied two really good centre backs by physically matching them. Been missing this so much all season. He'll probably get the Blades promoted!

Don't let him bloody well go. Have a chat with him, 3 more months on the South coast then see how he feels about a move back in the summer. Looked superb tonight, he controlled, protected & distributed more times in an hour than CMS has managed in 3 1/2 years!!

He has to stay till the summer at the very least.

Completely agree. He's signed a contract on decent wages. His wife can cope for another few months I'm sure.

The difference between COG tonight and CMS over the three previous games surely shouts that we can't let COG leave until and unless Best proves to be at least as good. I don't ever want to see CMS in a Brighton shirt again, give, sell or loan him to a League One club.

Funny old game.

If JFC & CMS had not picked up injuries on saturday then Texeira & COG would probably not have started tonight.

I'll hold my hands up and admit I thought he was a crap player and we should get rid. How wrong I was - he's a different player since Sami left and I hope he stays.

I think he'll be off after Sunday. Best is cup tied and can't play, so it's likely COG will play his last game for us against Arsenal.
He's done really well in the last few games and looks a real handful, but I think his heart lies in Yorkshire

Agree. Maybe knowing he's almost certainly heading home has taken a lot of pressure off him and has done well. Thought the deal was that he goes once we had a replacement and we now have Best. Shame to see him go but think he wants to get back up north. No point forcing him to stay because his form will almost certainly dip. Would be great if they can get him to stay until the end of the season though.

Really pleases me to see some of you now changing your minds about COGba. I couldn't understand the posts knocking him earlier in the season, when he'd really not been given a fair run for you. He still hasn't, really. He scored a goal every other game for us in 18 months and he was a joy to have at the club and in the side.

He still owns his home in Barnsley though, as well as renting down your end (think he's had 4 different rentals down there, his missus is a bit particular). I hope he stays put, if only because I can't stand Sheff Utd and it pained me to see him wearing their kit.

'You to me are everything, the goals you score they make me sing, O'Grady, O'Grady..."

Absolutely superb tonight, immense. His hold up play and first touch were particularly good.

Totally ... had Berra pretty well man marking him but had him in his pocket. All Berra could do was hoof it into touch at every opportunity.

Tex played some magic stuff but COG could quite easily have been MOM there.

Very much hope he stays but doubt he will

As has been pointed out before, he scored, what was it, 19 goals last term for a doomed Barnsley which proves he was seriously undervalued by a large faction of NSC.

Sadly, as he was also so undervalued by SH, he has apparently moved his partner and kids back up north.

S---, you just can't believe these things !

His wife and kids were in Shoreham yesterday so who knows. I hope he stays he was quality tonigh, shooting apart. His take down and movement off high balls was excellent and brought tex and baldock into play. Great game.
