Not sure how you make it three weeks.
Those links are dated 7 and 8 July and the one BOF put up was dated 14 July and he said "That cut deep last week. It really, really got to me", but you just accept that the club's side of the story is right?
Can you confirm that McGhee was in the USA for most of July? I can't see why Iwelumo would make that up and it rather suggests that he might not have been up to speed and made his comments to his mate Naylor about withdrawing the contract once he realised he'd cocked up. Naylor did do a lot of positive PR spin for McGhee, after all.
I see nothing in Iwelumo's statements that doesn't make sense, so I ask again, why would the club expect him to turn up when he isn't contracted to them? I guess that's where we keep going wrong with these players we hope to sign each summer. They just don't turn up for training.
