Thanks for posting, a great interview with a very humble man. The smile that comes on his face when he talks about looking back at his time here and thinking he’s done a good job shows how much pride he has in his achievements here and that the club still means something to him. As others have said would love to see him back at the Amex at some point as he deserves a proper send off and a big thank you from us all.

An Albion legend but sorry that interview was as dull as the football in the last few months

I look forward to giving him a massive welcome and thank you when he brings a team to the Amex though

Tend to agree. Did anyone really learn anything from what he said?

As pathetic as it probably sounds, I’m sure it’s a good watch, but I can’t bring myself to personally, a bit like the ex you never really got over. Top, top man.

A tiny bit. I knew, of course, that he was surprised to have been fired. But I’d not heard him say previously that he thought that reaching the cup semi final offset the poor home form of the second half of the season.

If that’s really the criterion that Tony applied in making his decision then Potter is toast.

No, Chris. My opinion is that you were let go primarily because Tony feared you’d take us down the following season and that you’d do so playing turgid football.

What he did for us was amazing, and I’ll be forever thankful, but I don’t agree with his assessment of why he was fired.

I bloody love Chris Houghton.
Such a genuinely nice Gent and oozes class and professionalism.
Some interesting insight There ,thanks for posting OP.
I agree with others in that I would love to see him back with Forest so we can give him the send off he deserves and show our appreciation.
I'm sure it will help give some closure to him as well as the fans.

What you would have expected from a Chris Houghton interview professional, calm, measured never controversial a true gentleman and will always be ensured of a warm welcome at the Amex from the fans

Clearly a nice guy but the style and quality of football we are playing nowdays is far better than it was under CH. get someone in that can finish and we would be pushing for top 8 ..

Hotline ringing as we speak at JRG, NooBHA and LondonIrish’s.

(Only teasing you guys. We all love Chris).

You really are a Nobb-Edd and should analyse you own actions before trying to piss on the loyalies of someone like myself and others on here.

These are a good interview.

Thoroughly decent guy that thoroughly deserved a decent send off. Hopefully on his next visit to the Amex we'll be able to take care of that unfinished bit of business.

If thinking a cup semi final in itself is a measure of how well you're doing then that is naive to say the least. Our reserves beat Bournemouth reserves, struggled to get past championship WBA and Derby and squeezed past Millwall due to a catastrophic own goal by their keeper! Had we beaten a few more Prem teams along the way I could understand his comment but we didn't.

Don't mention Mark Mcghee. I mentioned him once, but I think I got away with it.

....or.....whisper it....Russell Slade.....who rescued the car crash which was Adams Mk 2 and performed a minor miracle, to stop us sliding into League Two. Had that happened, would Slade have stayed? Possibly no Poyet .Who would have come to a basement club? Certainly, our recovery would have taken longer and we would have started the Amex era, at best, as a League One side......ssssh.

At least TB went and spoke to CH personally, to inform of his decision, instead of from a media released statement, that is usually the norm*

As its TB's train set, it was IMO, purely a business decision, nothing personal.
CH took it on the chin.
We move on.........

* Gus Poyet the exemption :D

Albion hero. Love him and like many others have said I dearly hope that in the not too distant future he is able to bring a team to a full Amex and get the send off he so richly deserves.

Look forward to seeing him again at the Amex.

Great manager and as with all managers there is always a right time to go - even if it wasn't his choice at the time.

I could still see a glint of menace in his eye. One question that overstepped the mark and he was ready to make the journalist wish he’d never asked for the interview. He never changes.

Anyway, sincerely hope he gets to return to the Amex in front of a crowd and get the reception he deserves.

I hope at some point once we're all back in the grounds we get a chance to welcome Forest for something, as he deserves a proper reception from us after we never got the chance to say goodbye

Yes, providing that we are able to be back in grounds, I would love a full-capacity pre-season home game against Forest. A final hurrah for Glenn (perhaps a testimonial of sorts) and a thank you to Chris and Knocky.

I still think the stadium is missing a statue or two. One of Bruno and Glenn, one of Chris please.

Hopefully if Forest ever do visit the Amex the vast majority of Albion fans will take the view that it's quite possible to have huge admiration and respect for Chris Hughton and Graham Potter at the same time

Reported.

Absolutely no need for personal abusive attack.

Bloody hell, you have got thin skin, you would have not lasted five mins on here back in the day

A poster was pissed with you for what was a below the belt comment, even if you were joking and you “reported” it. I doubt you’ll get whatever response it is you were hoping for tbh.
