Also, a little reminder that we were all emailed a £5 off voucher for the club shop that I see is valid until the end of October!

Always buy a programme anyway, we will probably be there early so I will look through it with him as I think it will help. Also I'm hoping that by getting there early and letting the crowd build around him he might be less worried than if he walks into a full stadium.

I reckon take him out to see a full stadium and it will blow his little socks off, I remember going to Wembley to a packed stadium in about 97, pretty much the best thing I had ever seen, still one of my greatest memories too.

The referee's a waiter. That's what my friends kids sing. Sounds so cute.

I'm with Munkfish on this one.
He'll just get twiddly and fidgety waiting for the build up.
10 mins, fanzone, bosh, his feet won't touch the ground, before he knows it, it'll be half time.

When I take my daughter (7) I buy a pack of chocolate eclairs or similar and give her one every fifteen minutes. It helps to keep her going when things are a little quiet on the pitch (although I haven't had much of a problem so far this season!) and she pays more attention to the game in general and the time up on the big screens.

(If I don't give her set intervals I get bugged about "just another sweet" every 2 minutes, which isn't helpful when trying to watch the game.)

At said game in my earlier post, my little brother was also there, and to keep us fed my dad had packed crisps in a trendy rucksack!!! my little brother got hungry and asked for a packet, my dad handed him a packet of ready salted, to which my brother replied i don't want them, can i have cheese and onion please, so my Dad is digging around at the bottom of his bag and Bang, we go one nil up.

Now in our house, when you miss something we call it i was looking for a bag of cheese and onion.
