Have just walked the course, no excuses for anyone on that ground. Good, good-to-soft in places is spot on, it is damp on top and plenty of moisture in the air to help keep it that way.
Simply walking to the top of the hill and then looking down towards the home turn and the stands is hugely exciting, can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to do it at 35mph with the blood pumping.
