Colwill part of the discussions so maybe why the delay. Also there is no rush , the longer they wait the better the chance Caicedo toys come out the pram which then suits them better
I would suggest the complete opposite. If Chelsea wanted Caicedo, the absolute cheapest they could have got him was at the beginning of the window. The earlier business is done, the longer we have to prepare. The later in the window it gets, and the closer to pre-season, the higher the price. Exactly same logic as to why we don't do a lot of business in January.
Until we get to a point where, like Caicedo in January, we announce they are not for sale.
Unless, of course, Chelsea wanted to offer 3x the market value of a player, but they would never do that would they ?
