Good. Hope he absolutely hates it there. The more players that learn that making the move straight to a club like them rather than coming to a club like us to learn and develop first, the better.
But seems even more established players who go there end up shite.

@El Presidente - you've commented on how this has worked for Chelsea. Will this ruling from UEFA only be going forward for sales not yet completed, or will it affect what they've already done? And will it only apply to European competitions, or will it affect the PL? Thanks

It will be interesting to see how many players are left in their bomb squad (older players like Sterling forced to play with the kids ).

They will get around this though by re-selling their hotel back to the other company again. Then sell it back next season to their other company. So it goes on.

They won't, UEFA have already said they won't accept sales of assets to sister companies to count towards PSR. See post #145

Not any more they won't. Eufa closed that door this week.
Edit: Sorry, a bit late with my post!

Is it not possible to do accounts in real time / near real time? With all the money available to clubs I'd make clubs spend a bomb to try and achieve this for the integrity of the league and rules.

Honestly think it's disgusting the amount of money spent and losses made that seemingly go unpunished. Plus all the glaringly obvious loopholes that might have allowed teams to get away with certain spending (no fault of the clubs).

It makes football boring.

Talking about Strasbourg they are just playing a cracking game against Lyon.

Were 3-1 up early in 2nd half but then Lyon scored 3 goals in 10 minutes! Still 15 minutes to play and I could see more goals coming.

It’s in the existing UEFA statute but was not an issue last season as The Chels did not qualify for Europe.

Thanks. So now that they're in Europe, what does it mean for them?

UEFA review sale of such assets on a case by case basis.

Right, so while they're in Europe, don't sell assets to themselves, and as soon as they're knocked out (or at the end of the season) sell a load. It doesn't make sense if UEFA are essentially saying 'as long as you don't do it during the match'.
