Amorim being the guy that apparently is linked with our job if RDZ leaves?

Chelsea are certainly planning for the future :lolol: already preempting stealing another of our managers

RDZ is a fantastic coach but I think if we are being honest we’ve seen holes in his tactical nous and managerial capabilities this season, despite the injury plight he’s shown very little tactical flexibility at times.

I’m just bored of this now. If it’s not Chelsea it’s Liverpool, if it’s not Liverpool it’s Man United or Barcelona or Bayern.

RDZ is great for us but I don’t believe he is quite as good as he’s being made out to be.

Dont really want this going on all summer and into next season. If he won’t sign a new contract maybe we all just shake hands in the summer and say thanks for the memories.

Similar. Let's see how our season pans out, but if this nonsense is going to dominate the summer and he's not signed a contract I'd rather see him move early and see who TB has lined up so we can plan well and bring in our new recruits and have a solid pre-season.

I love RDZ as Albion manager, much as I loved Graham Potter, Chris Hughton (For a time  ), Gus Poyet and a whole host of other managers over the years with some notable exceptions cough Sami Hyppia cough! As much as I'd like him to stay he is no different to the rest of them, if a bigger club with deeper pockets starts buttering him up he'll want to go. I just hope he does it with a bit of diginity and doesn't start slagging the club off or TB and start talking of 'glass ceilings' lack of transfer activity etc, a little niggle inside me thinks this may not be the case when the time comes. I really am quite nonplussed about his inevitable departure because I trust TB to continue doing what he does better than anyone else and plan for the Albions future, in fact I'm quite excited by the prospect because with TB its all about taking us a step further in the right direction and with that in mind I'm team Tony.

If he stays, it's all good.
If he goes, it's still all good.
I trust the leaders of our club to make the correct decision at the right time and the endless speculation in the papers just needs to be ignored.
The white noise from journalists, agents and tiktok wannabes trying to be the one to say I told you so, is really tedious

What’s the length of his current contract? Even if he signs a new contract it’ll have a release clause and if that’s met by a big club then he’ll probably go. The same will be true of any replacement.

Unfortunately all the time the press see us little overachieving Brighton they will always link our managers with moves away. Therefore to avoid constant speculation we either have to become established at a higher level or sink back down to a lower half of the league team.

Brighton factually.....
If RDZ and Amorim are smart they will stay as far away from Chelsea as possible.

What are you talking about?

If he doesn't go to another club in the summer and is still here come September we should sack him? Because bigger clubs than us are taking note of him and the success he's bringing to Brighton?

I genuinely think a chunk of our fans would prefer the club to be a small time football league side than the one we've become.

Good post, and its where I'm at. I'd rather he stay, but I'm bracing myself for a complete and utter BOREFEST over the coming months of will-he-won't-he. At least with Potter it was a case of crash bang wallop as Chelsea randomly "swooped" and gave him an immediate hard-on. He literally could not get out of BHA quick enough, so at least we didn't have weeks of speculation clouding things for us.

The headline is bollocks anyway. They have't "lined up" RDZ, or anyone else. Its all "a source has said..." blah blah. Yes I'm sure the fat septic chump with the baseball cap grafted onto his noggin and his licksplittle goons are kicking some potential names around. And naturally the first default plan they have is that they ALWAYS ask "what would BHA do ?".

So yeah, we're going to have to get used to these boring non-articles for months, certainly till the summer anyway. And if he does go, then I hope its the day after the last game of the season, so we can properly get our ducks in line for the transfer window.

Lol - I can't shake this random imagining of Potter's departure - office chair spinning, someone on the end of his desk phone "... pounds sterling.... hello... are you still there ? Graham...." His PA, in the style of a true 1970s cliché, bringing his skinny Mocha into his office... "Should be a nice quiet day today Graham... Graham... oooooohhhh that's odd..."

.... Sound of helicopter lifting off from Lancing.
