[Football] Cheating - pretending to be injured to disrupt the opposition

Newmarket.
It can if the ref doesn’t allow them back on the pitch for 5 mins.
I agree, but I can't see the FA admitting players cheat and so have to do something about it.
It'll be " he didn't cheat, he anticipated a head injury"
Let's hope they do something about it.

Clubs would be warned beforehand.

Yes, big clock in the stadium - stopped whenever the ball not in play, 30 minutes each way (because that's roughly what we get in play anyway.

Vis a vis claiming a head injury, automatically off the pitch for 5 minutes, no substitute allowed until the five minutes are up.
It just seems so abvious to do something like this in the modern game.

Since when has the neck been a 'head injury' - which is what he stopped the game for on two of the occasions.

Radio Sussex from 17:50 is worth listening to.

RDZ brilliant imho, not slagging off Fulham at all or bemoaning the loss. Instead crystal clear about the poor standard of EPL refereeing, he met Howard Webb yesterday to talk about it, so NOT post-event.

Their arrogance too, something apparently Aspinall's been talking about of late.

As if they are gonna care, shithoused the points just like Villa did.
I’m afraid, once everyone’s stopped seeing red, it’s a case of….THIS! :)

How to manage opposition feigning head injuries: take more of your chances.
How to stop time-wasting: take more of your chances.
What’ll happen if you “stop the clock”: teams will bring-on “corner flag experts”.
What’ll happen if you force head injuries off for five minutes: players with genuine head injuries will play-on regardless, as if they weren’t hurt, putting their health at risk. Also players might, just might, go for the high-boot tackle to get the opposition down to ten men.

Stop the clock when play stops.
But that doesn’t help the break in play and momentum. Add on all the time you want but the constant feigning of injuries means can’t get any flow to the game

He’s excellent isn’t it? I’m afraid bemoaning rules and officials is as old as the game itself. Especially when you’re in the losing end of things.

Remember VAR was going to fix everything? :lolol:

Easier to score goals sometimes, that’s what we can do. Like in the opening 20mins when we had 75% possession and their keeper went tested once.

There's a very good reason why Howard Webb was brought in mid season, and an immediate clear out has begun.

It certainly wasn't because Undav and Ferguson can't tuck away chances :lolol:.

Refereeing has plunged to new depths this season.

Do you watch entire CL games ever? The refs are fantastic.

Can’t really blame the refs IMHO, they’re put in that position by the authorities and can’t risk ignoring the genuine injury for fear of being lambasted for that. It’s the law that’s shite. A time wasters charter.

Actually no, I don't. I never wanted it in the first place, because it was obvious it was going to be the thin end of a very big, shitty wedge. When I come to power it will be binned IMMEDIATELY, so we can get our game back.
