Surely Saturday's game is so important that they should reduce the prices across the board to try and fill the ground.

As a season ticket holder I would not object to reducing the cost of a ticket to £5 or £10. Make it so Dick/Ken or whoever decides such things.

No because filling Withdean and creating an atmosphere is a silly idea! Let's keep tickets at £25 and that way I can have a nap whilst it's nice a quiet.

The Argus should get involved and reduce ticket prices with a voucher in the paper which allows entrance anywhere in the ground (home fans only) for £10 to Adults, £5 to Concessions (Under 21's, OAP's) and £1 for Under 16's.

We need to do this for the Stockport game as well.

Who cares if the season ticket holders get annoyed? Surely they'd rather see people there supporting the team and trying to pull them to victory.

I might be wrong but I think it is illegal to charge away fans more than home fans, I may be wrong though.

It's not illegal. To my knowledge clubs can charge home fans cheaper prices for no more than 3/4 games a season without having to offer it to away fans.

Since the end of March, Grimsby Town have reduced tickets for all their remaining home games (£5 v Aldershot, £10 for the others) whilst visiting fans have to pay the full £16.

ok so lets reduce our prices to a tenner and just put the prices of the away fans UP even more to compensate... :jester:

Forget CHEAP tickets. GIVE them away.

But maybe try local junior clubs, youth centres and six forms rather than the Legal and General canteen...

Agree. I'm a season ticket holder and it wouldnt even come into my mind as long as we have a capacity crowd.

Must be a relatively new law (i.e. last 12 years). I remember a news article making a big deal that the goldstone was one of the few grounds where away fans were charged the same as the home fans.

I remember Stoke away a few seasons back where they charged home fans a fiver each and we still had to pay £20

That still wrangles with me, the league said everyclub is allowed to do this once a season, something was wrong that day.

Still has to be a bad idea to fill the stadium, everytime we get a crowd in, we play dreadful :jester:

...............so,if we added, say,an extra tenner on the away tickets we would make an extra thirty quid on the Oldham game, and twenty for Stockport.

Good idea to reduce the home prices.Perhaps send out teams to Shanghai people from the shops and seafront!

My tickets for this Saturday were really cheap. Just had text from The Argus confirming I'm a lucky WINNER of 2 tickets.
