Pleased Forest won and ultimately deserved it.

My thoughts, first pen no, second one yes, not sure why VAR didn't review it. Apart from that Huddersfield offered absolutely nothing. However I think Forest will struggle next season big time, they looked very ordinary.

I only tuned in for the last 15 minutes, was that a particularly accurate portrayal of Championship football? Massive centre backs just clearing their lines, deep midfielders aimlessly passing sideways and the occasional hit and hope down the line or over the top.

Always liked Cooper, and think he will be Potter's replacement one day.

Think Bloom and Co. will be scouting him like they did with Potter. What was it? 5 years they scouted him for, or have I just made that up?

Typical we don't want to lose the £170m game game. Both teams have played decent football throughout the season, but this is one of those games, neither wanted to balls it up, so they left that to the Ref and VAR. Forest deserved it on the day, but it's going to be another one of those yawnfests from commentators banging on about them being back where they rightfully belong. Forest going to require some serious transfer business just to stand still, with 4 of their top players being loanees. The only plus side is that Cooper is a cracking manager, sure he'll get the best out of what he's given.

Should have been a penalty or two but struggle to feel bad for them... if they tried to play football from the start rather than when they had to, they might not have needed any penalty. Mainly got themselves to blame imo.

One of those weird football things

The year Derby got promoted to the PL, Forest got relegated to League One.

Pleased overall for Forest but was not overly impressed by either team. Forest may get the first season bounce but they will certainly need to strengthen to survive long term.

Can't believe Huddersfield didn't manage 1 shot on target in a final, but there you go.

Both absolutely nailed on pens. No idea how they’re not given.

Pleased forest are up though.

Second one yes. First one was odd, seemed like he moved his leg away from the contact in his desire to throw himself to the ground theatrically, and so got what he deserved imho.

Agree better to have Forest up though. Huddersfield couldn’t even sell out 40 odd percent of Wembley

So Garner, Zinckernagel, Spence and Keinan Davis are all on loan. I fancy Cooper will be one of the busiest manager in the forthcoming window.

If he could sign those 4, hang on to Brennan Johnson and maybe strengthen at centre-back and upfront Forest might just survive, but it will be a tall order.

Smart move getting Cook on board. Shored up their defence with experience. Sadly they won’t do a Bournemouth - or will they?

Watching that today, our own squad has so many higher quality ‘actions’ as GP would say. Between the lines, first touch passes, flicks, movements.

It’s crazy how far we’ve come these past 5 years.

There's little invention in the championship. Loads of physicality, effort and work rate, but precious little to unlock PL defences. Forest will need to invest to survive.

So happy for Forest, I really rooted for them today. I was in London all weekend and I kept bumping into loads on the tube and out drinking in Covent Garden. Great support and nice to chat to as well. Top fans and another decent away day which is why I'm mainly happy about it.

FYP unless of course you did have a go and routed them in which case I apologise.
