CM people had big row.

They own the right to the name 'championship manager'

edios own the actual game, and will release a new version called 'football manager'.

Cm is not cm. Fm is cm.

I think you'll find Eidos (the publishers) fell out with SI (the makers) and Eidos keep the name and will release CM5, but SI keep the database and the code and will release FM (the real CM5).

I have numerous games running but the game I am presently addicted with the moment, I am at Valencia.

Aimar is God, but slightly better for example last season he played 47 times and scored 77 goals......yes, you did hear correctly (seventy-seven) and I DO have a screengrab to prove it.

Aimar presently has 38 goals from 18 apps and it is only the end on November!!

I signed Orri Freyr Oskarsson. he scored 205 goals in 150 appearences. Awesome finisher and I only payed £18k for him.

Just rejected a £30 million bid

Aimar has presently 282 goals from 304 apps. Me thinks he will score more than he'll play soon.

Buy him..........if you can afford him

A small detail, you've got it completly the wrong way round.

Eidos (publisher) own the CM name, Sports Interactive own the database and have developed all the previous CM games. The two have fallen out (anyone know why, money i suspect) and so SI has gone off to develop Football Manager to be published by Sega.

I know US Seagull has already pointed this out, but i felt it was important enough to state again. :)

not only are SI the original creators of the CM series, i gather they are passionate football/sports fans. I notice that several of the screen shots show AFC Wimbledon which i think demonstrates this (i wonder how crap they are going to make franchise, maybe they'll have them leave the league at the end of the season :clap2: )

To summise: Buy Football Manager, avoid Championship Manager.

Footnote: if you havent already got it, go and buy an old version, £5 in Game for 00/01 season. Zamora and Steele up front in 3rd. marvellous.

I also remember that one of the programmers (he may have left now) was a big Albion fan too. Went to Brighton Uni (or maybe it was Sussex).

I was just about to mention as much US gull. As I recall the original creators the Collyer brothers are Everton fans but Marc Vaughan, who is essentially number 3, I do believe is an Albion fan!

Hurrah!
