Sadly, Italy, Spain and France already have a tournament to play in next Summer.
I was thinking more in place of meanless matches during the year.
But Im sure England 2008 would be better than playing in some 2 bit tourney in Austria

Hmmm, the FA could set its tournament up with Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Cameroon and a few others, at exactly the same time...
Im sure Mexico would be happy playing some decent teams, can we invite tha yanks too?

Or how about a Commonwealth Cup to try and make oursleves feel better. We could play Canada, India and some tin pot African nation to try and relive the glory days.

Also there has to be an argument for getting Saudi Arabia in there and probably China. Got to think of the trade agreements and also votes for the 2018 World Cup.

I think the principle players at the other confederations need to be there.
Also maybe Iran? Then rig the draw so they play the Septics, need to boost ticket sales and all that.
Maybe we could invite Israel, Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia and draw them in same group?
