I think Gordon Ramsey is the only one where he ever still actually cooks, and even that may have changed now he's on telly every five minutes. I saw him there when I went. :dwayne:

To be fair they don't cook anywhere anymore. They get their minnions to do it. Claridges is the shit, according to a foodie mate of mine.

Three Michelin stars for Gordon Ramsey in Chelsea, one for the Claridges one, I believe.

When I was there *dwayne* (and it was good btw) I got chatting to this porter whose been there since 1842. He told me that when Maria Carey stayed she hired the whole top floor, brought about 40 people and was a rude and tiresome arsehole.
And there was me thinking he might have some celebrity insights.

sorted , booked for rhodes 24 in the tower :clap2:

You'd have been better off at one of Ramsay's or Petrus or Locanda Locatelli.

Actually, you might even be better off going to the top of the (NatWest) tower. The food's not that great but the views are stunning.

Kris Accabusi (sic) once asked me and a former Mrs Hove B&B at the Ashoka in Church Road if we could finish our meal off qucikly as he wanted the table to push together so he could accomadate his extended group as you can imagine I told him to 'poke his egg up his arse' and I ordered an extra desert and lots of coffee.

That's true, but Tower 42 is free to get into (just have to pay for your drinks).

I still reckon a trip to the top of the tower for an aperitif is just the thing before a visit to a restaurant.

We used to have our company XMAS do at Claridges although we now have a summer ball at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham.

Clardiges is awfully nice.
